Here is a Mikulski factoid.

She pulled strings in 88-89 to get my ship sent to Bethlehem stel shipyards in Sparrow's point Maryland, keeping us from going to the yards near our homeport of Norfolk. This caused about a dozen marriages to break up due to the fact that the husbands were telling their families, "just hang on for xx more months, we'll be in the yards and I'll be around almost every day."

You could hear the family ties cracking all the way up the river as we went North.

But it kept the yard in business for two more years.

OMG........I still lived in Delaware at that time and remember the stories about that.

Heck we knew the O'Malley affair stories in the State House in Delaware long before this erupted.

Lots of Richmond and/or Annapolis based lobbyists also work in Dover....talk about people who know stuff that like to talk (wink, wink)
