All Freepers and lurkers in good standing are invited to join the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic at our rally this Saturday afternoon in front of the White House to celebrate the Iraqi elections held this year.

The rally is being organized by D.C. Chapter member Iraqikurd and others in the chapter. He has invited speakers from the Iraqi and Muslim community including Sheikh Ahmed Subhi, Kamal Nawash (Free Muslims Coalition), and Suhaib Albaraniji.

The rally has been endorsed by the Iraq the Model blog (#1 voted mid-east blog).

Please join us as we celebrate freedom in Iraq, denounce terrorism and thank President Bush and America--especially those serving in the armed forces.

When: 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2005

Where: Lafayette Park, in front of the White House, Washington, D.C.

Bring: American flags, service flags and Iraqi flags; signs bearing messages thanking President Bush and our troops, and with messages supporting free Iraq and denouncing terrorism.

Dress: Warm. It'll still be cold (but dry).

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for demonstrating will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

We were all on FOX 10 PM local news last night. Unfortunately, we were channel surfing during commercials and saw only the last few seconds of a group shot. I'm not sure what the first part was about or how long the section was. Sorry for not catching it all. Did anyone else see it? But at least the public saw that we were there.

I still haven't done the report from Friday. The Saturday report will have to come after that, as I also try to squeeze in Christmas duties as well.

I didn't mean THE REPORT! Sorry not clear about that.

I just meant any comments from those there.

Busy week? Getting ready for company here too.

Don't feel bad.

Give Romeo a hug for me.

Inspired by the squirrel toy of Romeo, I gave my dog a toy fuzzy rabbit to chew on. When she has it, my dog gets so protective of rabbit that I don't dare let her have it again.

She'll get past that...make her give it to you.

Then give it right back...remember who is boss!!!

The D.C. Chapter is cool! How do I find out if there is and Idaho Chapter? How would I start one?
"Dingy" Harry Reid is coming to my home town to speak on January 11th, and I would love to FREEP him into never wanting to come to our red state again and help the local dems fundraise. We are the only county in ID that has been true blue for the last 50 years. We also have the worst economy in the state, the biggest drug problems, completely ineffective municipal government and on and on.
There is a change in tide beginning with my next generation. Some appropriate but real resistance would "challenge" the local dem party and give conservatives some hope. A little hope can go along way!
Please help.
I'll start one if one doesn't exist.

That may be. However, this wasn't just ANY Frenchman, as you know! That "Frenchman" well deserved a park in his name in Washington, DC! Of course, that doesn't apply to all French in our time, or maybe in his. But, I can't help thinking he, and those who came with him(French, Polish, German..)would be very proud of the Iraqis, Afghans, and others we help to achieve independance; and very happy for them too!

No doubt, the French were diffent in those days.

The fact remains:

They have never won a war.

The only reason French cooking is any good is because they had such a bad base product to work with they had to hide it with spices.

Finally, the French hate us today because we are so successful. They are much older and failed with their stupid decisions for years in colonizing.

Four, the French are really short when it comes to you know what.
