A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 12.14.05

President Bush delivered the fourth of four speeches on Iraq. Today's speech was given at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in DC. Video of the speech is available at CSPAN. Speaking about this week's elections in Iraq, President Bush told the audience, "We are living through a watershed moment in the story of freedom." Text of today's speech.

Brit Hume, Fox News, interviewed President Bush at length. The interview is being broadcast now, and should be rebroadcast in Brit's "Special Report" on replay tonight.

Addressing the Heritage Foundation, Condi Rice said, "The world has shirked its duty to help prosecute Saddam Hussein. The international community's effective boycott of Saddam's trial is only harming the Iraqi people, who are now working to secure the hope of justice and freedom that Saddam long denied them. ... I am sad to say that the international community has barely done anything to help Iraq prosecute Saddam Hussein."

"these comments are pure politics .. and they affect the morale of our troops .." YES! That's what I really want to hear .. some reporter asking Murtha, Pelosi, Kerry .. to respond to the more and more frequent opinions we're hearing from the troops on the battlefield .. about NOT QUITTING .. NOT CUTTING AND RUNNING ..and how much THEY believe in their mission and that we finish this fight. I wanted them confronted with the words from THE TROOPS ... in their faces!

Ryan McGlaughlin .. "I just don't feel like I'm doing something that matters .." .. "He supported his fellow Marines .." "In his pocket was a poem, "Don't Quit" .. oh, how touching .. God Bless Him and his family.

Ours just seem like one type and loud and make lots of mess. They tend to live on roofs on Industrial Estates and even housing estates and make lots of noise. Where you live I can accept them but not 20 or 30 miles from the sea. You even see them in London.

Your gulls really come inland. Knowing where you are located, they have come a far distance.

So that means when you ask to be removed from a ping list, you become expunged? hehe

He spells out exactly what we've been doing all along and the dims are confused. Go figure.

Harry Reid just lies. He walks out, faces the American public, and makes up lies.

We have an urban seagull problem, exacerbated by the brainless Americans who feed the pudgy little things with French fries, etc. The birds get so lazy they sit around the pilings at waterfront restaurants and inland restaurants, waiting for food rather than collecting it for themselves the way God intended.

I do excuse the little guys when there is a storm over the water. The seagulls always come inland when that happens. I would too.

Mike, I have info on a 22 year old Marine from my area that was seriously wounded in the Dec 2 Roadside Bomb attack near Fallujah that killed 10 fellow Marines and wounded 11. He is with the II Marine Expeditionary Force from Camp Lejeune NC, and is originally from Texas. He woke up yesterday from a coma in the ICU at Bethesda Naval Hospital, and he knows his name (Martin Roman)but does not know his age and thinks he is still in Iraq and wonders what his Mom Carmen is doing there. He keeps saying "We have to fight them". The Marines flew his family to Maryland and are paying for the Family's stay in The Navy Lodge on Base. He has inter-cranial pressure and lots of broken bones and facial lacerations, but is awake finally and the Doctors say his memory should return with rehab. He and his Family have been getting some support which they really Love and appreciate, but I know Freepers can give them a lot more. He gave his Mom 100 kisses yesterday, and she is understandably emotional. From what I have read about this family they are very involved with their Church, Bethany Baptist, and are the kind of people that really could use our support. This Marine Division has suffered some of the highest casualties in the Iraq War so far. I am sending my Card in the Am, he will be there for awhile. Thanks for whatever you can do Mike, I know you are super busy right now.

I can tell you why she shows off her bosoms. she bought and paid for them, and wants everyone to see what she purchased. you don't buy a Diamond necklace and leave it in the Dresser drawer, or buy a Mercedes and leave it parked in the Garage. You don't buy 40DD and keep those puppies covered up. LOL!

Let me know what he needs and I will make sure he gets it, Bethesda Naval Hospital is within 3 miles from my business and I would be honored to drop in and convey your prayers and wishes for this brave warrior, as well as my heartfelt thanks and support for him and his family.

There is nothing in this world that I respect more than our men and women in uniform, and it would be my honor to represent you when I visit him
