Stanley Tookie Williams executed Crips gang co-founder put to death for 4 murders

Tuesday, December 13, 2005; Posted: 3:38 a.m. EST (08:38 GMT)

SAN QUENTIN, California (CNN) -- Convicted killer and Crips gang co-founder Stanley Tookie Williams was executed early Tuesday at the California state prison at San Quentin.

The execution went ahead as scheduled after the U.S. Supreme Court late Monday rejected a last-ditch appeal.

The high court's ruling followed California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's decision to deny clemency for Williams, 51, who received a lethal injection at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (3:01 a.m. ET).

where did Mike Farrell stand on Terri Schiavo? Was he at least consistent with his thoughts? I could not find anything via a google search.

Mike Farrell wanted Terri Schiavo to die because he felt it was humane.

Welcome to FR.
Stanley led a violent life, and never apologized.
In prison, he was involved in many fights, and even threw some chemical goup in a guards face that ended up requiring the guard to be hospitalised.
Williams was never remorseful, never apologetic, and never ashamed of his actions.
He died as he should have.
What you see as 'jubilation' is actually RELIEF that for ONCE justice was served.

Williams now needs burial in an undisclosed location with no name, just a number.
He doesn't deserve any recognition whatsoever.
Only the sick make heroes out of psychopathic murderers.

Celebratory?

Yep. There is a cry in the human heart for justice.

We are celebrating the fact that justice--this--time in not lying face down in the mud with a knife in her back.

We are also celebating that this animal did not make a mockery of the system forevr.

We are also celebrating the execution of an unspeakably wicked man for the horrendous crimes he committed.

It's a psychological thing. Good people are forced to sit day in and day out and impotently witness blatant evil going unpunished. The "celebratory" effect is somewhat like a psychological safety valve. After seeing so much lawlessness going unavenged, it's an emotional relief to finally see some small bit of justice carried out. If the relief of that safety valve is squelched, people can sink into despair over the fact that justice all too often seems to be delayed or entirely denied. [short version; give 'em a break]...:)

Boy, you got that right! I rejoice simply because as conservatives and Christians, we generally have very little to cheer about from the corrupt judicial & political system that appears to have a predisposition to allowing injustice and evil to persist.

When Terri Schiavo was starved-executed-murdered by her evil husband Michael, and his corrupt Judge Greer and death attorney George Felos, her death dimished and saddened all of us. Tookie's execution was rightly deserved and finally carried out after 27 years. Terri was not even allowed 27 days from the moment her feeding tube was removed.

Finally a small payback of justice with the execution of Tookie the murderer!

It's not entertainment; It's called justice.

I am afraid Tookie has not paid for his sins. He will be paying for them for eternity.

Did Tookie get what he had coming? YES.

But that is no reason to celebrate in my world. If that makes me a bad person in your, or anyone else's eyes, I don't give a flying (expletive deleted). You can put all the lipstick you want on your explanation - but the lipstick is still just decoration on a pig of a thought. You're making chicken salad out of chicken sh|t. I'm not buying it.

I didn't bother reading it. Have you been drinking or something? What is with your obsession? Can't live without me? I bet you get drunk and call your ex at 2:00 in the morning too.

" May he be granted his wings and fly to the other side of the River Styx"."

Talk about a mixed metaphor!

Even God can't save a man apart from the blood of Jesus.

There is no reincarnation in this life.

Hebrews tells us that it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment.

There is no second chance if one refuses the grace of Christ in this world.

May God have mercy upon his soul.John 3:16,Stanley Williams a creation of God was given a chance for redemption although he never publicly apoligized to man -I pray in the still of the night he had conversations with his maker about his mistakes and sorrow. To find happiness in another persons death is ghoulish-5 lives were destroyed in this saga. Not to mention all the family members involved.I am saddened to see that Stanleys'children didnt learn from his mistakes. Jesus Christ excepts all who repent and recognize that Jesus is the son of God-even a cold -blooded murder like Stanley Williams -I pray he did so.Its a sad thing to see so many on Fr rejoicing over the death of a child of God.

No one should cheer anyone on into hell. That much I agree with. But at the same time a person must pay their dues for their crime also. Look at what happened at the cross. Beside Christ was two thieves. One repenting the other mocking him.

Christ had the power to stop both his and their deaths. Note what Christ said and did when one asked for forgiveness. The man still had to pay for his crime on earth. His soul though was saved. Whether Williams in his final seconds of life asked for that forgiveness is between him and GOD alone. Death of the human body was required for the Capitol crime. However no sin except the final rejection of Jesus Christ is unforgivable unto man. Only GOD can judge that one.
