WASHINGTON - Crips gang founder Stanley Tookie Williams lost a last-ditch Supreme Court appeal that sought to stop his execution early Tuesday in California.

Justices on Monday night refused without comment to intervene and block the execution, hours after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger also declined to spare Williams' life.

I wish the execution process wasn't so sanitized. If we're going to have an execution, there should be some blood, breaking bones, or at least some frying flesh.

Some form of physical violence, I think, is necessary both to inspire fear into the hearts of criminals as well as remind society of the gravity of the act. Lethal injection just doesn't cut it, IMHO.

I hope he's sweating bullets

You know, as tough as he is or might have been, I'll bet he is sweating right now. Human nature is pretty hard to deny.

Remember that he outlived his victims by some 26 years.

That's 3:01 a.m. Eastern Time.

You know, we really could please all the lefties begging for him to live. All Arnold has to do is officially change this from an execution at the behest of the state to a 208th trimester abortion at the behest of his mother, and they'll be okay with that.

Well, about this whole thing with Tookie. I feel you play your pay the crime that you have done. No matter what the situtation is everyone should be paying for thier crimes. What gives himt he right to ask the Gov to stop his excution in the first place. That tkaes alot of balls to do so. Don't you think so? I don't feel sorry to him nor his family as well and or anyone else that has done a bad crime.

I kind of like the idea of him riding the MARE OF STEEL from the old movie THE LONG SHIPS.

It's interesting, though, isn't it?

Conservatives appealing in Terri's case did so on behalf of an innocent handicapped woman that couldn't speak.

Hollywood/Liberals/MSM are appealing on behalf of the co-Founder of the Cripes, convicted of executing a late night worker and a family. Inspiration to who knows how many more gang murders, let alone the murders he wasn't caught for. A man that can talk and laughed about his murders.

Pretty telling where the heart of some folks lies.

NO doubt, this guy's got to be melting like butter inside even if he's pretending not to show it.

get comfy on the couch and pass the popcorn ... tonight could be interesting.

Somehow I can't share your enthusiasm for this (or any) execution, no matter how much Mr. Williams might deserve it.

Actually, I couldn't care less about the death penalty. Won't make or break the republic one way or the other. That said, I shed no tears for the worst of the worst - like Tookie. And, of course, seeing the usual lefty crowd making fools of themselves is a bonus! The best way for him to have died, however, would have been a bullet to the head from an armed potential victim. INSTANT death penalty, justified, at the exact moment it should be dealt.
