None of those have been committed by executed killers.

The molesters who run our church are the ones out of synch with the Bible: An eye for an eye ...
I for one shall celebrate the death of the founder of the Crips.

I am a Catholic and my church has not told me how I should believe regarding the death penalty. I think at times a death penalty is required.

The question is, how much can we rely on Arnold to uphold the rights of the families of the victims?

And Jeffersonianism was unfortunately wiped from this nation of states after 1865. The fact is the Constitution goes neither way on the issue. But human nature would assume the representation of the time would bring life experiences or feeling into passage of federal legislation

You say much with a short sentence. good job.
No, not one.

As I recall, the exact teaching of the Church isn't that the death penalty is wrong, per se, but that it's been rendered unnecessary by time and events.

My question is why don't these liberals vigorously defend INNOCENT LIFE when it comes to abortion....?
To: Quilla
Personally, I hope the Governor waits until 11:58 P.M. when the Tookster is strapped and ready to go before making his decision. And that would STILL be 3 minutes more than ol' Tookie gave his victims!

I am against the death penalty but I am for due process and upholding the rule of law as written rather than adjudicated. Same here, I see that there are a few more like me on FR. Although I am opposed to it, I certainly don't shed a tear for the scumbags when they take the nap either.

If this murderer doesn't fry, then Arnold will be a one time governor

We should have a "The Last Song Tookie Hears" Thread, or "Music for Tookie to Wait By" or "Tookie's (Last) Jukebox" thread. My choice for the LAST song he hears would be:
- I fought the law and the law won (after 25 years that is) - Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word (Elton John) - Physco Killer - Liar!

I don't think Jesus would "celebrate" any human beings death - what did He say about an "eye for an eye"? Remember too I am for the death penalty, but not for "celebrating" death.
