Gov. Shwarzeneggar expected to make announcement on Tookie Williams Execution Clemency shortly according to Fox News.
Either that or he's washing his underwear by hand.
"Pretty arrogant to say there is no God. You must know all there is to know to be able to say that. I think it would be better to say you don't believe there is a god or don't know if there is a God."
HEHEHE!
"Hang on Tookie, Tookie hang on..."
We should have a "The Last Song Tookie Hears" Thread, or "Music for Tookie to Wait By" or "Tookie's (Last) Jukebox" thread. My choice for the LAST song he hears would be:
"I Wanna Be Sedated" by The Ramones
For Tookie's "walk to the chamber and lay on the gerny" listening pleasure I have at least five.
#1 "I Wouldn't Wanna Be Like You" by Alan Parsons Project
#2 "One Way or Another" by Blondie
#3 "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC
#4 "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring
#5 "Seasons In the Sun" by Terry Jacks (And I choose THIS song because I feel like opening a vein EVERY time I hear it.....)
Why isn't Jesse in Baghdad trying to get his fellow Christians released?
I'm not a Catholic but it wouldn't bother me to abolish the death penalty. I just never have had strong feelings about it one way or the other.
Then that is one of the first changes we need.
Not all atheists fit into your categorization, although I agree that many do. After years of chatting with MineralMan on FR, he seems to genuinely be a kind man who cares about others. I don't see arrogance there. He sees and argues clearly (though wrongly in my estimation, but I've had those conversations with him). And he has born with a lot of grace a lot of accusations from Christian Freepers, I'm sure including myself. We just agreed on another Christian thread, probably for the first time ever! But he's ever gracious and kind. We need to give credit where it is due.
Ronald Reagan once said he would prefer a jury of all actors and actresses because they would be the most ready to believe any story.
I think Ahrnold has fallen for the "believe anything scenario."
At least until 12:01 AM Tuesday December 13, PST.
Well that would be better that giving him clemency.
Also, there have been over 100,000 murders in the USA since 1999 alone.

Terminator or Tookie-skater?
Conan or Cave Man?
Jesse is everywhere. He must ride in Jimmy Carter's plane.
I'll be real dissapointed if he doesn't get killed. I've been looking forward to this execution for weeks.
" that punishment, in my opinion, should be a lifetime of imprisonment, so that they might consider the error of their ways."
And that is the crux of the matter. IN MY OPINION. We are all entitled to our opinions. Justification can be made either way. IN MY OPINION A person who takes a life (or in this case several lives) has given up their right to life. We allow much review within our system which gives the person a right to prove their innocence or extenuating circumstances. If, after all the review the decision is to put a person to death for their crime it is just. Sometimes extreme measures are necessary to protect the good of the majority (including the guards and other inmates)
