Associated Press
JACKSON - Movie director Ang Lee was in town Saturday for the showing of his latest film, "Brokeback Mountain," and he attended a question-and-answer session and party after the showing.

"Brokeback Mountain" took in $544,549 in just five theaters around the nation. What did Narnia take in? $20 million?
To: Zuben Elgenubi
Narnia is closer to 70 million this weekend.

While based on characters in Wyoming, the movie was filmed in Canada. ...because Wyoming is much further away than Canada (eyes rolling).

I said the same thing at work the other day. Destroy our culture by destroying our heroes. Mainstreaming mental illness.

Another attempt by the liberal elitist to tear down something good about America.Typical HollyWeird idiots "pushing the envelope". My, aren't they so daring and creative out there! More and more Americans don't care about their stupid little movies. Americans will be staying away in droves from this ridiculous gay love story
The Cowboy and his ethos was one of a man and his ideals and beliefs. Not some sick deviate choice.

Watch the trailer... the lines are hillarious.
"If you want a job you better get in here"
"You not just going up there to fish"
I think it maybe like the Bird Cage.

If that was Jackson Wyoming, I'm not surprised they chose Jackson. Jackson is packed with Hollywood-type out of towners - lots of rich and beautiful people with summer cabins and winter ski condos. Probably the only place in Wyoming where they wouldn't burn down the theater for showing that perverse crap..

Wonder how this film will do in a heartland city like Pittsburgh PA. As the fans at the Steeler game down their brewskis and query each other, "You seen that film about the kissin' cowboys?"

: : : : : 'Brokenback' is in a more limited release, as befitting its more limited audience. As much as I like Ang Lee, he's been on a cold streak lately. 'The Hulk' and this... *feh.* More wire fu with Zhang Ziyi, please.
: : : : : And did you notice how 'Entertainment Weakly' but 'BM*' on it's cover, though Naria was the real topic of conversation? Guess they don't want THAT subject breached. Can't pay attention to the desires of the Red Staters, after all.

Predictions (you read it here first):
"Bareback Mountin'" - wins 10 Academy Awards, including: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (girls not allowed), and most importantly to Hollywood...Best Forced Promotion of a Really Nauseating Lifestyle.
"Chronicles of Narnia" - wins 1 token Academy Award: Best Use of Biodegradable Snow.
This is all just a repeat of the "Passion of the Christ" fiasco we all witnessed a couple of years ago...

They're NOT cowboys, but shepherds. There's been a significant difference for a few hundred years.
