JACKSON - Movie director Ang Lee was in town Saturday for the showing of his latest film, "Brokeback Mountain," and he attended a question-and-answer session and party after the showing.

The movie tells a story about two Wyoming cowboys who fall in love but lead heterosexual lives and keep their love secret. It is an adaptation from a short story by Centennial-based writer Annie Proulx.

While based on characters in Wyoming, the movie was filmed in Canada.

A forum about the movie's subject matter was held at St. John's Episcopal Church.

"Brokeback Mountain" took in $544,549 in just five theaters around the nation. On Saturday, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association picked "Brokeback Mountain" as the year's best movie.

If that was Jackson Wyoming, I'm not surprised they chose Jackson. Jackson is packed with Hollywood-type out of towners - lots of rich and beautiful people with summer cabins and winter ski condos. Probably the only place in Wyoming where they wouldn't burn down the theater for showing that perverse crap..
