Where to Buy Christian Christmas Gift Wrap?

Posted on 12/11/2005 3:45:50 PM PST by Tangerine Time Machine

Each year it gets harder and harder to locate Christmas wrapping paper with a Christian theme. You know, the designs we used to take for granted: Babe in a Manger, the Three Wise Men, Peace on Earth, etc.

I thought it would be useful to pool our resources as to what is available out there in stores and on the Web.

After a few hours on Google, I've found two designs that fit the bill:

Jeweled Peace

We Three Kings

Clearly my Google-foo skills are deficient. Anyone else have some good sources?

I've been a member here sine 1998. Up until today, I didn't realize how many anti-semites there are on FreeRepublic. I guess I've just been naive.

"I hoped someone else had already found a good source."

I generally use a pretty, solid colored, metallic type paper with a nice ribbon, bow and appropriate tag. I gave you the Google search result link for quite a few sites dealing in Christian-themed wrapping paper, assuming you could search the Christmas offerings yourself. Sorry it didnt help.

Yes there are many symbols for the secular commercial Christmas. Once there were many religuous symbols too. Now our religous symbols have disappeared...and we feel marginalized and robbed.

Congratulations, you did better finding the wrapping paper than I did when I went searching for an outdoor decoration that simply said "Merry Christmas" swritten in a string of lights or rope lighting. I found nothing. So, I guess I have to make one for next year.

I'd like to think that, but the posts speak for themselves.

"Christmas-themed" is very generic. There are lots of wintertime-themed papers out there, but the selection of Christmas wrap with specific religious motifs is indeed rather limited. These would include the Nativity scene, angels, scripture quotes, etc. Yes, you're correct about the fact that there are lots of papers out there with Santas, ornaments, snowflakes, toys, nutcracker soldiers, etc. all over them, but very few are specifically printed with Christian-symbols and/or artwork.

Another concept: some enterprising amongst us might look on your situation as an entrepreneurial opportunity, where you could open up a storefront, even short-term, that would carry Judaica-related items, including Menorahs and Hanukkah cards.

Christian gift wrap? I think I can help you (I'm in the biz), but dude, you gotta be more specific. What denomination? Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist,Presbyterian gift wrap? Or Armenian Orthodox, Seventh Day Adventist, Latter Day Saints, Southern Baptist, Northern Baptist, Jehovah's Witness, Heaven's Gate, Scientology, Universal Life Church? See what I mean? We carry all these products for each Christian taste, so to speak, but you have to tell us the recipient's denomination before we can fulfill your order. We don't discriminate, by the way, it's only money!

"Either they accept that Jesus is the Son of God or they don't. I don't care which they are. I don't care if they think they can accept both that Jesus is and Jesus isn't. I don't care if you think that. All I'm saying is that both religions (not the cultures) are mutually exclusive. You can't accept the central creeds of both faithfully."

That there are still people who believe Jews can't become Christians is the height of black irony.

I'm gonna be honest with you, Hildy...I think you've been drinkin'. You're gonna regret these silly posts in the morning.

You're accusing people on a post of saying things that are NOWHERE on this post.

Now, please...save your self-respect and give it up for the night.
