p>The Talk Shows
Sunday, December 11th, 2005
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.; Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq; Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del.; Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Khalilzad; Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.
I'm so glad ya'll noticed that Graham couldn't look Timmy in the eyes. I'll have to start paying attention to see if Graham does this with every interview.
Everytime I hear Murtha espouse that plan....I wonder if he has "cleared" that with Kuwait...
I kinda doubt that Kuwait wants 20,000 troops just parked on their border...creating problems for them!
I would think there will be full transcript on the White House Website if NBC copyright allows it they may only be able to put extract.
Are you thinking of the interview where the President said the war was not winnable? He meant in the sense of a complete surrender on board an aircraft carrier sort of thing. It is still being used to state that he said the war in Iraq in unwinnable.
I saw that too, Peach. Very odd.
Danke!
Oh my, my. There are just a few more shopping days to get a gift for Tookie before it's too-kie late.
What shall I send him ............. a 'Gourmet Cheese of the Month Club Certificate', a 'Series E Savings Bond' that matures in 25 years, or maybe a 'Make Your Own Wine Kit'?
Tough decision.
;-) ****
Yeah, Hillary IS a piece of work. I like the TTT salute. LOL
Juan said we have to redefine what victory is. Obviously, a Democrat talking point is to change the meaning of victory so they can claim to be part of it even though they are against it. Quick pan of Brit Hume showed him looking down in disgust as little Juan was making his point. Not a smack down, but funny to see Brit trying to be nice to someone who cannot understand the WOT or Iraq.
LOL!
"Is the next vote in Iraq on Thursday? I need to calendar that so I don't make other plans"
Gosh Peach, I don't know, I thought it was tomorrow but maybe I'm mis-remembering the dates.....when does Tookie get denied clemency? When does Iraq vote? When is my cookie exchange party?
Brit Hume will also have an interview with W this week. Announced on FNS today.
Thanks, I missed that. Means that he will be all over the networks. Bush will stick to his views, more than likely media will get itsef exposed again.
YESSSSSSSS---Brit interviewing President Bush is MUST SEE TV!!!
HA
Yes, Thursday, the 15th. (I so often mess up dates, anyone is free to correct me, but I have it right this time.)
I thought that Pres Bush's comments about "it" being unwinnable was a reference to the WOT, in the sense that there won't be a definite date where we have someone surrendering to us, waving the white flag, etc.
The problem is the President cannot win if he does not give the interview then he is critized for not doing so if he does then he is given it to the wrong people.
Not critizing you but this is the dilema that the President and the Administration face.
Off to see mum now back later
LOL.
I know that tomorrow the Governor announces what will be done with Tookie.
;)
