p>The Talk Shows
Sunday, December 11th, 2005
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.; Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Zalmay Khalilzad, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq; Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del.; Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Khalilzad; Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.
Lindsey Graham needs to grow a pair. HalfBright is sitting next to him, lying about the "successful" Clinton Iraq policy and he says nothing.
Schieffer is providing full cover for Murtha on Face the Nation. 'Running to the borders is not cutting and running.' Sheesh
Thanks for that link; Miniter has been on top of this story from the beginning.
This is another link that has many articles about the Iraq/AQ connection which goes back to the 90's.

Did Timmy ask her about the troops in Bosnia? Clinton said they would be home by Christmas. He didn't say which Christmas though.....
Thanks for the thread AB! Would you please put me on your ping list.
All:
Having voted for Graham, and been embarrassed by him, I am glad I ran late and did not see his interview. He is by far the most embarrasing politician I have ever voted for.
He has been taken to task for his previous blunders, but refuses to listen to his constituents. Because of that, we need a coherent strategy now to dump him in 2008, along with derailing any chance McCain might have of garnering the nomination. (We did that before.)
Why he is behaving this way is IMHO that McCain has clued him to his strategy, enlisted Graham's aid, and promised him a place on the ticket or high in the cabinet if it works.
This is not why the average SC Republican voted for him, and as ex-Governor Beasley knows, South Carolinians don't like being deceived.
Possibly some Freeper in SC or the region would be in the position to get some kind of public campaign to Dump Graham moving.
I don't think it would change Graham, but it might make him keep his mouth shut until we could get rid of him in 2008.
And Russert asked Albright about the 1998 Iraqi Liberation Act signed by Clinton which said endorsed regime change and talked about the danger that Saddam posed to the world.
Albright said "We had him in a box".
If Tim was any kind of journalist he would have come back with "The legislation didn't call to put Saddam in a box. It called to have him removed from power."
Great catch, and if Jeb decides to run he will have lots of explaining to do about Schiavo, but even so he will make a great VP methinks.
You are so right.
Thank you for re-printing the Vice president's
"when was terrorism only a nuisance?" remarks. They are so timely.
The tragic truth is that our liberals really do consider terrorism a "nuisance" to their re-election effort. They would much rather turn the national discussion to racism, homophobia, or quotas or social welfare programs or contraception for teens....anything to keep the US public from thinking about how weak the democrats are and always have been on national security!
Some day maybe a real journalist will ask Bob Graham what he meant by that?
There's quite a bit of evidence that Saddam was behind 9/11, or at least knew it was coming.
Now, unless one believes that Osama bin Laden just liked to gossip, and gave the heads up to Saddam (even though the left loves to try and say they hated each other), how on earth did Saddam know that 9/11 was coming if there wasn't some sort of relationship between Iraq/AQ? And why can't Republicans AT LEAST quote the Democrats own positions back at them when THEY knew there was a relationship in the 90's?
Less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper Al-Nasiriya carried a column headlined, American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin. (July 21, 2001)
In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden will strike America on the arm that is already hurting, and that the US will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, New York, New York.

LOL
I hope the people of South Carolina retire this RINO as soon as possible. He's an embarassment to the party!
Yes, and I just saw him on the Fox morning show, and he did well enough.
Good point. The relationship between Saddam/terrorism/ and the Oil for Food Scandal needs to be highlighted much more often.
