I think this has been a disastrous week for the Democrats across the board.
When they're not incoherent, then they're defeatist....
And then we have John Kerry who's back in the picture. Made another speech today...
He comes up with this agenda, which sounds exactly like the Bush agenda...
He pretends as though Bush is doing nothing to foster democracy around the world, somehow, Jordan...Bahrain...Qatar...Egypt -- are moving toward democracy, he says, as if it's on their own.
And the Bush Administration has had nothing to do with pushing it.

I can't really figure out Mort's political position--he strikes me as a moiderate democrat who isn't afraid to point out where Dems screw up.
Even Christine Matthews was toning down the rhetoric after Bush's speech last week... at least on the particular broadcast I was watching.
Mort is a hard one to figure. But I kinda like him. Most of the time.
Mort's okay--his positions are based on logic, not ideology. Even though he sometimes drifts (slightly) left, I can find no fault with him.
He's like a JFK democrat. JFK had some good ideas for the Country, from taxation to the Space program.
He acquitted himself very poorly in the Bay of Pigs crisis, to his everlasting shame. But good in the Missile crisis.
He also didn't pit blacks against whites, poor against rich, etc. Mort's kinda the same way, in my view.
Mort is a great American. A real role model for everyone, and especially for democrats who actually might fall into the far left trap that Dean and others are springing for them. Mort is a great patriot and someone who sees through the crap of the democrat party and is not afraid to say so.
I agree. While Mort's heart may bleed from time to time, it bleeds honestly, not from an insane lust to tell other people what to do.
Think a few years ago. . .Mort was or 'was considered' a Liberal. Think because the Dems have moved so far Left; that he now appears to be moderate. I also think he - unlike many Demrats - gives honest, rational thought to things.
Mort does the unthinkable by today's Demrat standards. . .he gives credit to Repubs and a Repub President. . .where credit is due; and offers thoughtful and honest discourse on issues. Seems to be, very much his own person. . .
I just want to help him spit it out sometimes. He seems so at a lost for words when making his point.
They relize thay have gone too far and can't find their way back. They're trapped by their own words and actions. Matthews knows it and so do the rest of the MSM.
You can beat up on a Palooka only until he starts hitting back.
I love the John Kerry panel, down to the fine print on his shirt!
Kondrake, on the other hand, has more than once admitted "I don't know", which these other twits would never do.
When Matthews starts pulling back, you know you are in trouble!
It's gotten much better as time has passed since his wifes death. Right before, and immeadiatly after her death he could hardly keep two words close togather. Obviously a very rough time for him.
It is true that the arab women are now walking ahead of the men instead of behind them, as they did for centurys, but it is because of the land mines.
Morton Kondrake is an old fashioned democrat. I remember liking him when I use to listed to John the screamer political talk show. Fred Barnes was also on it. Those two made sense. I was glad when Pat Buchannan was runnning for president because hewasn't on then. I've since given up on the show.
