He's like a JFK democrat. JFK had some good ideas for the Country, from taxation to the Space program.
He acquitted himself very poorly in the Bay of Pigs crisis, to his everlasting shame. But good in the Missile crisis.
He also didn't pit blacks against whites, poor against rich, etc. Mort's kinda the same way, in my view.

I agree. While Mort's heart may bleed from time to time, it bleeds honestly, not from an insane lust to tell other people what to do.

Mort seems honest to me. Whatever one's ideology, if you're honest I can respect you. Which is why I can never respect someone like Katrina Vanden Heuvel. She was bitching about Bush on TV once and the interviewer brought up how our presence in the Middle East was pushing other countries to reforms such as voting for women. Katrina was obviously caught off guard and she said there were such advances happening in Saudi Arabia before we invaded Iraq, and our invasion stymied them. It was such a painful, obvious lie that the interviewer, I think Matthews, said something like "Uh...."
Kondrake, on the other hand, has more than once admitted "I don't know", which these other twits would never do.

Oh, so you mean he is exactly like that other JFK democrat - Ramsey Clark?

JFK had some good ideas for the Country... 45 years later, though, he would not be a Democrat; because he loved his country's well-being.
