I love hearing these stories about Americans on airplanes "taking care of business"...
This is not the first such case, and I'm certain there will be more.....
When I board planes, I look around and do a little "reality profiling" checking out who may be friend or foe.....
So sue me!

We'll all have to be "vigilantes" before this WOT is over.
In Germany I profile all the time in terms of what subway car I get on and where I stand.

Are you committing a "nonverbal hate crime"?
Screw PC when your life might be on the line. Prudent planning to check your surroundings and be cautious. And to have a plan ready in your mind and be ready to take the lead, civilians with no military training sometimes need to be prodded, but once they get going, they have a great track record. Americans We!
Good idea. I'm usually so ticked off about all the security lines and delays, I DARE anyone to pis@ me off even more on the plane!ha.
So sue me!
For what? Being reasonable and smart, a crime no doubt. I haven't flown for several years but if I do, I hope you or someone like you is on my flight.
Man, taking a lot of risk! When ACLU hears about your unauthorized "racial profiling" activity you are probably going to be denied boarding in the future. Your name and picture will be entered in every aviation database worldwide!!
First thing I always do is count the number of Middle Eastern looking chaps before flight. If its 5 or more, I dont fly. Period.
You ain't the only one ...
I'm the same. As I walk to the back (coach) I make sure to scrutinize every person who is sitting in 1st Class and Business, especially paying attention to any Middle East appearing types. I also look about to see who are the biggest, fittest looking men in coach who could assist in taking down threats to the aircraft. I always keep in my bag two fine point pens plus an "extra" strap from my carryon bag with heavy clasps on each end. The pens make fine jabbing weapons for attacking the eyes in an extreme-threat CQB, the strap can be used to trap hands, as a garrote, and as a swung weapon. I usually have a heavy book that can be used as a blunt weapon and to deflect edged weapons. An unopened can of pop is an excellent thrown weapon, and can be used very effectively as a striking weapon. Finally, I always wear a thick leather belt that has a heavy buckle to use as my strap. It can be removed quickly yet is not viewed by TSA as a potential weapon. Ryuku kempo. Shows what they know...; )
