I Just found this at www.scooop.net: Western scientists are beginning to discover what has been documented by Eastern sages and mystics for thousands of years; that within nature exists an interconnecting field that interweaves every atom, cell, organism, and mind, throughout time The Akashic Record.

Now if my knowledge is transferred entirely into memory chips, and my phsysical body dies, do I still exist? My question would be: Would I still have the hots for Petra Verkaik?

I don't get it. Is it like Jung's collective unconscious?

No, yes, no and no, respectively. Is Ella Fitzgerald still "alive" in some fashion, because we can still hear her voice when we want? No. This brings to mind reports of aboriginals fearing to have their pictures taken, because it would steal their soul.

"Generations after generations of humans have left their holographic traces in the A-field. These individual holograms integrate in a super hologram, which is the encompassing hologram of a tribe, community, or culture. The collective holograms interfaces and integrate in turn with the super-superhologram of all people. This is the collective information pool of humankind."

You're dead, man. Therefore, no more - you're dead.

One thing I have always wondered about such scenarios.
It is not enough to transfer knowledge. You have to transfer entire experiences. For instance, suppose you could learn kung fu the way Neo did. Sure, you would learn the moves. But would you learn when to execute them ? Would your fighting technique look like Jackie Chan, i.e. a lot of wasted energy to throw a few punches ? Would you learn how to assess an opponents strengths and weaknesses and determine a strategy based upon that ?

aka the double-plus-super-superhologram, I think. I read it somewhere.

Those are very interesting questions, all.
After alot of thought on the matter, I have concluded that the important thing about the universe isn't the electrons, the quarks, and the photons.
It is the patterns that are formed out of these things, and ultimately the only real difference between you and I are the patterns of our neurons, that reflect our experiences.

Have you ever read Edgar Cayce the Sleeping Prophet? 30-40 years ago, reading it got me thinking along such lines. One of the key elements was that he could "harness the energy of the universe" and heal a person oceans away. It is numerical in nature, and most of us fail grasp the magnitude. Sure would explain a lot, the Golden Ratio, Chaos...

Nice tagline. Who could have predicted that the current evolutionary stage of man would end up being characterized by a narcissitic little dweeb name Patrick Henry. And here I thought Darwin was perfecting the species, not diminishing it. So it goes!

We humans interfere in the name of compassion, to the detriment of some.
