NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Talkers magazine reports conservative hosts Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are the most popular radio hosts in the United States.
More than 13.75 million people listen to Limbaugh per week while Hannity draws more then 12.5 million weekly listeners, Talkers reported.
Michael Savage is third with more than 8 million listeners a week.
There is tie for fourth place between shock jock Howard Stern -- soon due to move to Sirius Satellite Radio -- and Dr. Laura Schlessinger with more than 7.75 million weekly listeners, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.
Laura Ingraham filled out the Top 5 with more than 5 million.
Talkers said it used Arbitron data and "other reliable indicators" for its semiannual rankings report.

What makes my day is O'Reilly being left out. Whenever I listen to O'Reilly on the radio, it sounds like he is fighting off sleep. The only thing his radio gig does for him is drain off his energy.

O`Reilly's got to be annoyed. He would be if he ever wakes up. O'Reilly's radio show sounds like he is doing it on automatic pilot. The only reason why he started doing radio is because it seemed like an in-thing to do. The result is a radio host who sounds like he is utterly BORED.

Stern's deal is 100 million for 5 year contract, not 100 million a year

Rush is great and,IMHO, saved our Republic starting with the 94 elections. I believe he is forcing the Republicans to the right ltely.
That being said, Bob Grant was the first and is still the best IMHO.

I don't respect a man losing $8 million on the slot machines.<<< Do I think he was smart to loose that much....no. However, I respect the fact he earned it. I respect his right to spend, or fritter, it as he pleases.
Anyhow - its trivial. Bill Bennett's brain and heart are far bigger than his fortune.

Rush could get $200 million a year, instead of the measely $35 million he gets today. I thought Rush earns $65 million per year.

Al Franken is the reason that Air America had to pay radio stations to get off the ground.
Don't you worry. ;-)

I find Dr. Laura frightening. Most folks that are calling in to her show seem to need professional help already Actually the HOST of the Dr. Laura show needs professional help.

They do. His audience will swell by a factor of about 50% during the run up to an election.

Yes, he did criticise Matthews, but only after he softened the comments with a little kiss-up first...I can't stomach that myself. No need for it--Matthews is the enemy.

> That's nothin'. Glen Beck was bumped here in Northern Ohio, and replaced by Jerry Springer!
WTAM went from a 2.something rating share for Beck to a 0.0 share for Springer, and he has not gained any points at all in the last six months or so since they made the switch. Springer is totally unlistenable, I listen to Beck on a hamster powered 500 watt wonder from Ashtabula.
BTW, once upon a time I was a Rabid Moonbat and hated Rush's guts, now I think Rush should get a Presidential Medal of Freedom for his contributions to our country as a Patriot, (or maybe a spot on Mt. Rushmore, after all, they named it after him, didn't they)?.

Yes, Rush says, "cutting edge of societal evolution" but, it is not unusual for him to preface a story as if it is being put out there for consumption for the first time when, in fact, it is old news on the internet.
Don't misunderstand, please. Rush is terrific--he just isn't a god as some would like all to believe.

Hannit's "blood-oath" is a bit overdone.
Do you remember the time last week or so that Hannity accidentally cut his finger on the air while talking about the "blood oath"? That would at least have been an opening to make a witty comment, but I'm afraid Sean isn't all that quick-witted, especially when compared to Rush. He's a nice guy, but he doesn't have the same talent for humor.
To: krunkygirl
Rush is not on live 24/7.
Talk about going out of your way to make a negative comment. Sheesh.
