LA leaders call for peace if gang co-founder is executed

The message is obvious: The savages will riot if the murderer is executed. "Whitey, better listen. Remember the riots in LA when the savages didn't get the right verdict?"
The message is stated in what they think is a very clever way. It's not clever. It's very clear to us and to the riot-mongers (the press calls them civil rights leaders).

Here we go again. The locals are going to riot if Tookie's executed.

It made a good deal of sense when it was suggested that last batch of LA riots was organized and supplied by subversives from elsewhere, and carried out by the more than willing locals.

Amazing. The third time, LA gets to choose whether it will cowtow or choose justice and civility. If they fail this one, the new coastline might start at around Needles.

He has certainly outlived his usefulness. And, if the US penal system worked properly, it would have never come to this climax: he would have been executed a few days after sentence being passed. Preferably by hanging, but whatever works...

If the penal system were working properly Tookie would never have been given the forum to "reform" and become the poster-boy for rehabilitation that he has. He'd have danced the Tyburn Jig long ago.

He'd be a faint memory only in the minds of the few who could give a damn' about him. Soon to be forgotten (and the sooner the better)

Instead, now we have idiot "Celebrities" taking up his cause and making it memorable.

(Memo to anyone who is bugged by this: don't see Celebrity X's next movie. Don't buy his/her next record. He/she supported Tookie the multi-murderer)

Those with media 'credibility', C-list celebrities and civil rights charlatans, paint the murderer as a secular saint, and now call for order in the streets when their saint is going to be executed. My guess is that their biggest worry will be the Hollyweird contingent--plus Julian Phillips of Fox & Friends. MASH stars, Jamie Foxx and others just might lose control. As for the rest of L.A., well, I've heard that a lot of the Crips members don't even know who "Tookie" is these days.

Well, actually, he would have gotten a good and proper hanging. The Tyburn Jig ended after James Berry perfected the art of the long drop. The actual execution site at Tyburn passed into history about a century before Mr. Berry came on to the scene.

Still, for certain scumbags of Tookie's ilk, I wouldn't mind seeing the Tyburn Jig revived.
