He has certainly outlived his usefulness. And, if the US penal system worked properly, it would have never come to this climax: he would have been executed a few days after sentence being passed. Preferably by hanging, but whatever works...

If the penal system were working properly Tookie would never have been given the forum to "reform" and become the poster-boy for rehabilitation that he has. He'd have danced the Tyburn Jig long ago.

He'd be a faint memory only in the minds of the few who could give a damn' about him. Soon to be forgotten (and the sooner the better)

Instead, now we have idiot "Celebrities" taking up his cause and making it memorable.

(Memo to anyone who is bugged by this: don't see Celebrity X's next movie. Don't buy his/her next record. He/she supported Tookie the multi-murderer)

Sheesh. What do you have to do to be despised in America these days??? What do you need to do to be hated??

I'd have thought that multi-murdering, along with establishing a Racketeering Influenced Criminal Organization, should have been enough...

America, get a grip! This guy is a crim and a Bad Head and a scroat, and he deserves what's coming to him. Full Stop. This sinner should swing.

Well, actually, he would have gotten a good and proper hanging. The Tyburn Jig ended after James Berry perfected the art of the long drop. The actual execution site at Tyburn passed into history about a century before Mr. Berry came on to the scene.

Still, for certain scumbags of Tookie's ilk, I wouldn't mind seeing the Tyburn Jig revived.
