CBN.com – PAT ROBERTSON: Well, ladies and gentlemen, when I first heard about Kwanzaa—I’ve been to Africa many, many, many times, in a number of countries, and I had never heard of Kwanzaa. And it turns out, there’s not one African country that has ever celebrated anything called Kwanzaa. So we began to explore where it came from. Well, today we’re going to tell you. Joining me now from Los Angeles is a man who says the growing popularity of Kwanzaa threatens to snuff out the true meaning of Christmas. Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson has written a book called Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America. And, Reverend Peterson, I welcome you now to The 700 Club. Tell me, how did this Kwanzaa get started?
REV. JESSE LEE PETERSON: Well, good morning. It’s an honor to be on with you. Thank you for having me. Well, as you said in the introduction, Kwanzaa is a lie, it’s a made-up holiday. I’ve debated Ron Karenga. The socialist, Marxist, black racist, now professor at Cal State, Long Beach, here in Los Angeles, created this holiday because of his hatred toward Christianity and Jews. And Ron said that part of his motivation was his dislike and that he was going to create this holiday during the Christmas season, because that’s when most people were celebrating. And the reason that he called it an African holiday, because he felt that if he didn’t, that most black people would not celebrate the holiday. And our purpose today is to get the message out that it’s ‘Merry Christmas’ and not ‘Happy Kwanzaa.’
ROBERTSON: Well now, tell me a little about this guy. I mean, you say he’s a professor out there at Cal State in Long Beach.
PETERSON: Yes.
ROBERTSON: What was he before that?
PETERSON: Well, before then he was a felon. He went to prison for four years for torturing a couple women who followed him back in the 60s. He was the head of a Marxist organization called United Slavery Organization back in the 60s, along with the Black Panthers. But the issue is that, during those days, this man was so radical, and his organization was so violent against white Americans, against America, against what was right, that even the Black Panthers didn’t get along with the United Slave Organization. They were headed up at UCLA for a while there. They were fighting over the black study program. They wanted to start a black study program back in the 60s. So they fought with the Black Panther organization for the black study program. And they ended up murdering one another, and he ended up in jail. He’s now a felon and a professor at the university, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach.
ROBERTSON: Reverend Peterson, tell me—I’ve read some of the details of that torture. I think it’d be important to say these are two women who are his, quote, ‘followers,’ and he suspected them of betraying him. What did he do to them, specifically?
PETERSON: According to a report that I read is that he tortured the women. He put a soldering iron on them. He squeezed one woman’s toes. He put some type of detergent or something down the throat of the woman, one of the ladies that he thought had turned against him. He undressed them. Made them undress at gunpoint and tortured these women while lying naked on the floor there.
ROBERTSON: He got four years in prison for that, right?
PETERSON: Four years in prison. And he got out, and now he’s being honored. Can you imagine? He’s being honored in America by celebrating this godless holiday called Kwanzaa?
ROBERTSON: Well now, should Christians have anything to do with that?
PETERSON: Absolutely no. And as a matter of fact, according to the seven principles of Kwanzaa, whites are not allowed, Jews are not allowed. It’s a socialist idea. There is no mention of God. And when you read those seven principles, as you can read them in my book, Scam, there is no mention of God. And there is a flag that they pledge allegiance to, the red, black and green flag, and this flag is about shedding blood. Ron said that black people shed blood in this county, they lost their land, and in order to regain the land, they’re going to have to shed more blood. And so it’s a violent idea. It’s a separatist idea. And I could guarantee, Mr. Robertson, if a white man had come up with the same idea, and it was called European whatever, America would be up in arms about it. But because this man is black, he is allowed to get away with this racist, godless holiday.
ROBERTSON: Well now, it’s gotten such mainstream—I mean, the Presidents of the United States, including George Bush, has paid lip service to Kwanzaa, as did Bill Clinton. What’s the deal?
PETERSON: There is a double standard in America today, and that double standard is liberal, godless black folks are allowed to do and say what they want. And white folks are afraid of being called a racist. And I was disgusted when Bill Clinton did it but was not surprised. But when our great President Bush, a man that I believe God has given us so that we can turn this country around, when he celebrated this holiday, my heart was broken. Because black folks, not all, not all, not all, but most black people are already suffering because of too much government, corrupt black leaders, and most corrupt black preachers. Their family is destroyed. The order of God is destroyed. And for President Bush to proclaim Kwanzaa a holiday that we should recognize, it’s evil, for the lack of a better word. He’s promoting evil.
ROBERTSON: What response do you get when you tell people just what you’re telling us on this program today?
PETERSON: Well, not all, of course, but most black people are angry, and they’re racist toward white Americans. They have been brainwashed by the so-called black preachers and the black leadership, like Jackson and others. When they hear me say it, they think I’m a sellout, I’m an Uncle Tom. But there are black folks who love what’s right, they love God. They are Americans, and they say “right on” to me. It’s the truth that’s going to set us free. A lie will continue to divide us as a race and as a nation. And Christ came. I love Christ. He came so that He could unite us in spirit, one God. Kwanzaa and all this crap that Louis Farrakhan and others are putting out, we have to deal with it, because the battle is a spiritual battle. It’s not blacks against whites or whites against blacks. It’s good versus evil. And at a time like Christmas, when we’re celebrating Christ, Christians have to stand up and say, ‘No more,’ and especially black Christians, because we have suffered enough.

With all the vitriolic response I received from certain un-named individuals, I figured it would be a great idea to do it for real...I have observed here on Free Republic, a never ending flaming of religious folks and conservatives by people who promote things such as drug abuse, homosexuality, the ritual murder of abortion and other garbage.
Not being an orthodox or ecumenical atheist, it has really stretched my patience. I do not think policemen are jack-booted thugs, nor do I look at people who want to protect their families from filthy scum as brownshirts.
The purpose of this is to alert people to the cultural Marxism run amok... Drugs, sex perverts, pornography (in film and in music), marijuana, liquor, bashing the religious people, destroying social institutions (like marriage and the Boy Scouts), etc., etc.,... ad nausea...
The druggies like the sex perverts can only perpetuate an ever increasing market for their filth by molesting the minds and bodies of the young ones... this is the only way they get new Demo-rat voters...
It is no coincidence Islamic pagans hate Israel, Jews, Christians and Western Civilization. The entire basis of Western Civilization is Mosaic Law, something both the Neo-Pagan Left and the pagan Islamic thugs cannot abide and wish to destroy.
The very idea that human beings have individual rights not subject to the whims of a monarch, but subject to the laws of Yahweh, is directly from Moses.

Their ideology is that white men are devils. Marcus Garvey in the early 1900's said an African King would become the black messiah. Ras Tafari was crowned King Haile Selassie of Ethiopia and proclaimed to be their messiah in 1930.
According to the Rastafarian pagans, Ras Tafari did not die in 1975, but went to another dimension. He is called “Jah” and considered to be a god. A pagan perversion of Christian theology.

Where I live I'm surrounded by stores that have been stripped of Christmas decorations. It's pathetic what the godless powers of the state have done to the celebration around here.
However, a few days ago I went to a shopping mall in a predominantly black area and was happily surprised to find red and green decorations everywhere, and all the clerks saying, "Merry Christmas!"
