The DRUDGE REPORT has learned from a top GOP operative that the Republican National Committee will provide state parties with a web video prior to release tomorrow afternoon that shows a white flag waving over images of Democrat leaders making anti-war remarks.
The ad is in response to the controversial comments Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean and 2004 Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry made earlier in the week.
A Democratic strategist who had the web ad described to her said, This is way over the top but we have no one to blame but Dean, Kerry and others who continue to pander to the anti-war activists within our party.
The web video advances the Republican contention that the Democrats only have a retreat and defeat message on the war in Iraq.
The video highlights the effect Democrats can have on the morale of U.S. soldiers.
One Republican strategist familiar with the ad said, The Democrats, especially Howard Dean have a way of trying to turn the tables and say thats not what I meant its just those evil Republicans This video will make them crazy it reinforces what they really believe with what they actually said and that is devastating for the Democratic Party.
Developing...
Don't they usually test market ads or ad themes online before they run them on TV?
This is SPECTACULAR. I cannot wait to see it!
Yep.....and your fault :)
Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!
Leo
That's the first thing I thought....but as soon as one person whines and says it's NOT FAIR and start crying....the repubs will probably end up apologizing. Keeping my fingers crossed that they don't....and just give them another kick if that happens...but I'm not too confident.
LOL! That is great.
Can't wait to see it!
"And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the of the historical customs, religious customs...Whether you like it or not...Iraqis should be doing that."
So, which facts are most useful? We really need to complete a list for use as we all encounter our "families" over the holidays.
1) There is a religious war on America. Muslim zealots want us dead.
2) There is a war on wealth and wealthy Americans. Anti-capitalists across the world want us dead.
3) There is a segment of the population that wants to take control of America so that they can indulge their obsession with sex and sexuality.
4) There are government advocates who want to, first, control the usage of tangible property and land, and, second, control the government that has control of that property.
5) There are international atheists who want to banish religion. They believe destroying America and Israel is the first step.
6) There is a judicial oligarchy that is attempting to wrestle control of America from the other two branches of the American government.
7) Petty power-mongers throughout the world--George Soros, Peter Lewis, Barbara Streisand,etc,--attack America for their own glory.
Are there more? Is identifying the enemy the first step towards countering propaganda?
Why limit the ad to the internet? It should be all over TV, too.
No doubt in my mind that Hannity will cover this. But, I've already heard the rumbling around the net .... those who believe that the dems are being taken out of context are quoting Bush. I'll have to find it, but apparently he also said that the Iraq war was not winnable? Probably out of context quote, but they are saying so are there's. Anyone remember this?
We better be more clear and united than we were on Murtha if we do this!
The following is a letter that a Marine sent to Murtha, I think it fits this thread nicely.....
ad is up at gop. I can't view it.....?
This ad should have run long ago... It needs to be run over and over and over and over and over again... America needs to realize that they are the party of surrender. The party of weak foreign policy. The party of retreat and defeat. The party that cares more about winning political offices than winning the war on terror. They are despicable and reprehensible. They all need to be thrown out of office for this treasonous behavior.
That's the best time to kick them!
It is well known that Bush is a very good poker player. He is expert at making his opponets to keep raising the bet on a losing hand.
