DRUDGE EXCLUSIVE: GOP TO LAUNCH 'WHITE FLAG' DEM ATTACK
The Drudge Report ^

The DRUDGE REPORT has learned from a top GOP operative that the Republican National Committee will provide state parties with a web video prior to release tomorrow afternoon that shows a white flag waving over images of Democrat leaders making anti-war remarks.
The ad is in response to the controversial comments Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean and 2004 Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry made earlier in the week.
A Democratic strategist who had the web ad described to her said, This is way over the top but we have no one to blame but Dean, Kerry and others who continue to pander to the anti-war activists within our party.
The web video advances the Republican contention that the Democrats only have a retreat and defeat message on the war in Iraq.
The video highlights the effect Democrats can have on the morale of U.S. soldiers.
One Republican strategist familiar with the ad said, The Democrats, especially Howard Dean have a way of trying to turn the tables and say thats not what I meant its just those evil Republicans This video will make them crazy it reinforces what they really believe with what they actually said and that is devastating for the Democratic Party.

It's possible but this isn't the brilliant coup some are making it out to be. There are lots of web ads out there that attack both parties and you see no uproar over them except in small web circles. If they were putting it all over TV I would sing a different tune.

>Someone with a master's degree in wordsmithing should figure out how to tag the RATS with the Benedict Arnold tag. <
Won't work.Moonbeams have had control of school History text for 25 years.Anyone under 35 plus the 25% of the Dems from the welfare state have no idea who Benedict Arnold was or that their was a Revolutionary War.They can tell you all about Sacco & Vanzeti and the populist that ran against Tedddie Roosevelt.

I agree. Someone over there is pretty good at it.
Why is GW so quiet?
Well....now I know.
Someone over there planned a perfect ambush. They've got footage over there that will resonate in next year's election.

It good to have begun a campaign to paint the Democrats as fixated on contriving a US defeat in Iraq. The GOP needs to on the offensive, I hope the RNC has saved all of the loser-defeatist talk from Pelosi, Kerry and Dean for the next elections. Nothing would be better for the American people then to see Democrats on the wrong side of this war.

Right. Also, it helps obsoletes a future card the Dems want to play. When troops are
responsibly withdrawn from Iraq they (Dems) want to claim credit for bringing the troops home.
There's plenty of other self-exposure traps that can be used just before the 06 elections.

The language should be changed from Questioning their patriotism to questioning whether they back/support America or have any pride in America. I know it's the same thing, but it seems a little more direct.

Great! I can't wait! Call them what they are. Traitorous, treasonous, appeasing bastards. I can just hear the squeals from Kerry. How dare you! I am just trying to bring the soldiers home safe,{even though they are the REAL terrorists.}...... And that evil Pelosi and Harry Reid...''How dare you say we are unpatriotic, we are for our soldiers....even though we say every day''This is Vietnam all over again, this war is a loser, our president is a liar, and a loser!''.........we are just trying to tell the American people what is going on.Why on earth would that make us unpatriotic?........
To: martinidon
yep, they will roll it out and just when we get pumped up about the Republicans finding their backbone, they will come out and apologize and then crawl back in their hole.....Haha, that's what I'm expecting too.

This is gonna be fun to watch the 'Rarts argue with their own words...

I think this is all smoke and mirrors. Remember that ad they played once in Washington DC and said they were going nationwide with?
To: Pukin Dog
Notice how this is a cascade strategy. Bush came out swinging and now it's a drumbeat.

Could this be the beginning of the GOP finally growing a backbone?

Might be better if they grew some testicles. |
