In the footsteps of Gardner Beckett, these recipients exemplify an unflinching commitment to the defense of our constitution and it's guarantees of equal protection, due process, and simple justice.The annoying apostrophe abuse appears in the original text. Note also that they capitalize "Bill of Rights", but not "constitution". Probably an innocent oversight, but it does underline the perception that the ACLU values the BoR (well, certain parts of it, anyway) far above the rest of the Constitution.

This judge who believes he has the authority to also be the lawmaker and executioner is an embarrassment to America. I am still perplexed as to why he hasn't been charged with contempt of Congress. However, I also realize that the fact that the ACLU is honoring him will hopefully demonstrate to many of the "conservatives" who were saying that decisions to starve and dehydrate innocent people was somehow a "state's rights" issue.
Are we shocked that the ACLU would honor him???

The ACLU uses law students ability to get class credit as a means of TAX PAYER funded cheep labor.

Exactly WHO is this ACLU? Is your relative, friend or neighbor a member? It seems to me to be a very small group of fanatics who live in a world of darkness! If I encountered a member I would certainly point out the error of their ways!!!!

Truthfully, this is disgusting. I disapprove of the euthanasia euphemism. Terri was murdered. What this judge allowed was a state execution. And then they tried to cover it up with a sham autospy declaring her brain dead. Well, of course she was brain dead after they were done starving her. The fact they wouldn't allow a second set of doctors to examine the autopsy results is mighty fishy if you ask me.
Her parents were more than willing to care for her, but NO, she had to be starved to death!
THAT'S sick. It's EVIL. It's unconscionable.
