1-3"? What? That's not a blizzard; that's just a snow flurry.

Feh! Those east-coasters don't know from snow. I don't even start my snowblower until there's at least 6" on the ground.

Let 'em come to Minnesota.

I am in Arlington, TX looking at frozen rain with a temp of 24. Went to the store this morning to get a few things to make a big pot of chili and it looked like they hadn't stocked their shelves in at least week. No milk, the meat department had been hit hard along with other departments. They didn't have any carts inside...they were all outside. This will be over by Friday, no big deal.

The winter of 76-77 brought the only true blizzard of my lifetime. We had 3 feet of snow on level ground and didn't go to school for more than a week

I remember that one well.   The drifts were something else!

ROFL.. i think you must be much further north than me (i'm in central MI), 1-3' would be more like daily weather here. but still, anything less than a foot, they still expect you to be at work on time.

I remember that blizzard well. The snow was still sitting in the side ditches the following May! We had 10ft drifts and never left home for days.

There's going to be 3" to 6" of snow here in Washington, DC.

Quick. I need to run out and get toilet paper. And milk. And bread.

Oh, the humanity!

The Blizzard of 76 was an interesting experience. I remember watching the snow level rise up against our glass sliding door. People in another part of our condo development had to tunnel their way out of their homes or exit through a second story window. Really cool for a kid in junior high!

You're posting from the *parking lot*?!?

I'm impressed!....====8-O

The crowds are such that I can't get into the local Wally World to grocery shop.
We've been having to pay exhorbitant "small town market" prices just to keep from starving to death since before Thanksgiving.

Boy, will I ever be glad to see December 26th.

Has anyone ever disclosed *why* we have to stock up on those particular items?

The TP I could understand...*if* I only had one roll left or something.

/wanders away, muttering "Who even bothers to plow or shovel for mere inches of snow??!!

No kidding. Right now, I've got about 3" of snow on my driveway, but I'm not even going to bother until tomorrow AM. They're predicting a total of about 7" for KC by tomorrow.
