Christians can be as deluded as anyone else. I don't support this guy one bit. But we are saved by grace. Idiots go to heaven too.

The knucklehead "evangelized" his way into his present mess, let him "evangelize" his way back out and don't bother the military with it. If he succedes, he can come home and write a book, "Witnessing Like Your Life Depends On It".

My guess is the guy is either an Episcopalian, a Methodist, a ELCA Lutheran, an American Baptist, a member of the UCC...well, you get the idea.
