Sen. Charles Schumer is predicting failure for Iraq's democratically-elected government, complaining that the vote next week to determine the country's new parliament is being "imposed" on the Iraqi people by the U.S.
"There will be no government in Iraq the way they're trying to structure it now," the New York Democrat told WABC-TV's "Behind the News" on Sunday. "They're going to have these elections but that's sort of being imposed on them."
Schumer questioned the legitimacy of the Iraqi vote despite sky-high turnouts for the country's January and October elections, which saw a higher percentage of voter participation than in U.S. elections.

Bush, to succeed in IRAQ, has to defeat the terrorists & other opponents there, counter the neighboring hostile states such as Iran & Syria, and defeat the USA Democratic Party.

To the democrats Venezuela, Cuba and Mugabeland have fair elections but Iraq's is an imposed farce.

Chuckie's just jealous of the 100% majority vote Saddam used to get in his elections. Pay him no heed.
We can rail against the evils of hillary and kerry and kennedy and harkin and levin (and rightly so) but .... there is someting about Schumer that plumbs certain depths that even those aforementioned can't descend to.
In a sea of turds that is the democratic party, Schumer is a particuarly malodorous and offensive one.
