"Pres. Bush's penchant for handing out nicknames to those around him strikes again! And while GWB and GHWB lovingly refer to one another as '41' and '43' respectively, White House insiders say GWB is now referring to Condi as '44' ... developing ..."

How would sHillary destroy her? Certainly not in a debate. I would prefer to see an Allen - Rice ticket but I would still vote for Dr. Rice if she were to run. Her conservative credentials are at least as good as President Bush's were when he first ran.

One problem with Condi that will have to be overcome. With gasoline prices out of sight, how do you sell a candidate that once had an Exxon tanker named after her? That'll be a pretty tough sell. Maybe it can be done, but it'll be tough.

Gee, someone with the Freepname and silly picture of Nathan Bedford (Forrest) unhappy that a black woman might become president. How surprising...

Conservative?
She's pro choice
pro-Palestinian
pro-UN
pro affirmative action

Not very conservative in my opinion.

Yep. She would be a true disaster but we'll thankfully never see that day.

In an interview with The Washington Times in March, Ms. Rice described herself as "mildly pro-choice." That is hardly a term that will placate pro-life voters.

I will not support her in any way if she is "mildly pro choice."

I would never vote for the Jew-hating Condi Reich. She is a, pro-abort, pro-Arab, leftie who would do little to represent the interests of the base.

> Others (me) will never vote for a pro-abortion

And that's exactly how Hillary's playbook reads. Take the center with a wink from the left, use abortion to divide the right, and conquer.

The future of our nations is at stake.

The future of our nations is at stake.

It always is; and if we do not stop state sanctioned killing of the innocent, it will not make a dime's worth of difference who the President is.

*Blink* Bob Dole has no idea what you're talking about. *Blink*

Re your #56 - I concur with your concerns over her treatment of Israel.

Wasn't she instrumental in the Gaza strip giveaway - where the Palithugs wasted little time (as most of us knew they wouldn't) in setting up rocket launchers, artillery, and terrorist training camps all the better to murder Jews with?

She is eminently likeable in many ways, and a truly brilliant person - but her apparent disdain for Israel among other things, disturbs me.

I'd much rather see Tancedro on the ticket...

But I think we all know that ain't happenin', don't we?

How many of us would vote for Condi over McCain - who I'm afraid is very likely to get the nomination?

Chances are slim to none, IMHO, given the current GOP leadership, that the Candidate will be at all "conservative".

And as usual, Conservatives will again have to hold our noses in the voting booth and check the lesser of evils on the ballot.

I suspect we'll be voting AGAINST Hitlary more than we'll be voting FOR anyone whom we really trust or respect.

RINOS seem to pretty much rule the party at the moment, and as much as I'd like to see that change, I really don't think it's going to any time soon.

> Rice would be branded as Bush's darling, just like Harriet. Hillary would destroy her.

Secretaries of State are insiders, true, but look how NY Republicans begged Powell to run for Senate. If Rice continues to do a great job, it's more to her credit. Besides she's brilliant under fire--remember the confirmation hearings? Rodham's handlers will try to destroy Rice. Hillary herself is lousy on her feet and needs to be scripted.

A pro- or anti-abortion stance does not define conservatism. It is not a one-issue ideology. The future of our nation and of the western world is being defined by islamofacists. The WOT should be at the top of everyone's agenda.

> pro-Palestinian
> pro-UN

She's the Secretary of State! Diplomacy is her job.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was a cavalry genius. I understand the "fustest with the mostest" man's tactics are still studied at West Point.

He also didn't speak in the caricaturized manner depicted in the above quote. What he actually said was "get there first with the most men", but that doesn't make for nearly as interesting a story.
