It has been my question since I became a member on FR.
Why do conservatives in the US hate/disagree with/dislike the ACLU
Are they not a group to protect civil liberties of the American society?
I mean the very values that America's founding fathers dreamed of.
Any how, it is amazing for me why most people in the states disagree with whatever ACLU does.

Sorry! But, they did not morph. Their founder was devout communist. He set them up with the priciples of undermining the the Constitution from within.

Exactly. The ACLU knows that it must appear on the up-and-up on occasion so it can pretend to be unbiased. But in reality it is a left-wing extremist organization with a Marxist agenda which is far more dangerous to America than even Islamofacism.
Agree with your point about selectivity. While some of what they have done[note I say "some"] makes sense, they have become a bullying tail that attempts to wag the dog.
Im not a great believer in "symbolic" no real victim cases as a means to threaten change that would never pass legislative muster[requirements].
I believe in the traditional methods spelled out in our Constitution. But the left has discovered a great friend in the courts and sidesteps the legislative process[ignores the "us"] and forces some rather foolish and self serving lawsuits.
A favorite is the removal of the "In God We Trust" motto foolishness from our money. Would this notion ever pass by traditional legislation? Of course not.
But "suddenly" the concept[inclusion]has been and will be argued as an establishment issue.....as the defination of "establishment" has been stretched like a piece of silly putty....far beyond intent or word.
So we have a clown like Nedow[poster child for ACLU] who is apparently so bothered by an imagined sales pitch, that he must have his way[in court] so he can reshape and ignore traditional culture.
Weve all seen the revisionist history that suggests most of the founders were anything but Christian [see a site like infidels for select hand picked quotes] and its just horsehockey.

Those COMMUNISTS are the enemy within. They are trying to destroy AMERICA. Whenever I get mail from the aclu I don't even open it, I just tear it up and throw it away.
Check to see who the founders were and use that as a starting point for consideration.

There is indeed a communist party here. They are very active supporters of International A.N.S.W.E.R. The unofficial communist party is the Black Congressional Caucus.
