The last time I looked, the Democrats were even more unpopular than the Republicans.
In fact, with all of their sedition and cowardice--- the Democrats are the France of U.S. politics.

It was enough to make a lot of us who think lettings lies stand to seep into the public consciousness isn't a good thing.Oops. That wasn't a fully fleshed out point. It seemed that some people thought that we should not criticize the president for not defending himself, and that maybe letting the lies stand in the public consciousness was really a good thing after all.

[Who knows, he may even figure out the Paradox of Incumbency. Politicians who run just to protect incumbency may save their seats, but only by destroying their party's heart and soul. If you really want to build lasting power in politics, you need to forget about mere incumbency -- and remember the principles that got you elected in the first place.]
Love this article and the correct conclusions, politicians are an embarassement to truth and justice and who will correct the many evils of the last 50 years of inept government?

Read the tag line of this Republican who has voted for only one Democrat in her life, thinking I was helping America. Har Har Enter George Bush and open borders and 20 million Mexicans taking over the country. Yeah, Republicans! Not

The fat lady hasn't sung yet. Keep putting conservatives in the pipeline and we'll find one or two make the big leagues yet. There are several in Washington now, but they are being held back (Remember the class of '94?). The fact that our issues are on the front burner and the left on the extreme defense says a lot for time and effort. It ain't over yet...Correct. My Senators are Kay Bailey Hutchison and john Cornyn and my Representative is Sam Johnson, a real war hero. I can't ask for better. Unfortunately, I can't touch the others with my vote.

Wham! Out of the park for Tony. To paraphrase Reagan's saying,"I didn't leave the Republican party. The party left me."

Awesome, right on description. Sure hope the elected ones take the time to read.
Personally for me this attempt by the elected ones to demoralize our military is contemptible, and sadly only a few in Congress seem to have a clue.

Capitol Hill Republicans now admit their Democratic colleagues don't want peace -- they want the Alamo. So the GOP is fighting back. Hastert approved calling the bluff of anti-victory Democrats last week by demanding a floor vote on the idea of vamoosing Iraq immediately. He scored another triumph this week by restoring the good name of the National Christmas Tree. The Dems don't want peace any more than the Palestinians or the Islamofascists do. They want to destroy their enemies.

Someone up above noted he/she would vote against every Republican incumbent in the primaries and for the Republican nominee in the general election. Not a bad idea. How about promoting and contributing to the campaigns of conservative Republicans and ousting a few Snowes, Chaffees and Specters?
There ARE conservatives in our congress: Kyl, Coburn and Brownback come to mind. I have heard both Kyl and Coburn speak recently and neither seems to me to be a poltroon but are quite forward in their views. Coburn, in particular, has acted as well as talked. These people need open and loud support - and money - from the base because they will not get it from the majority of their colleagues and certainly not from the leftist media.

Sadly, even the more conservative Senators and Representatives are playing the game. Re-election first.

Thanks for posting this. God bless, Tony Snow. This needed to be said! One would never believe the Republicans hold the White House, the Senate and the House of Reps.
Republicans need to forget their incumbency and remember their COUNTRY!
