Someone up above noted he/she would vote against every Republican incumbent in the primaries and for the Republican nominee in the general election. Not a bad idea. How about promoting and contributing to the campaigns of conservative Republicans and ousting a few Snowes, Chaffees and Specters?
There ARE conservatives in our congress: Kyl, Coburn and Brownback come to mind. I have heard both Kyl and Coburn speak recently and neither seems to me to be a poltroon but are quite forward in their views. Coburn, in particular, has acted as well as talked. These people need open and loud support - and money - from the base because they will not get it from the majority of their colleagues and certainly not from the leftist media.
'..contribute to campaigns of conservative Republicans..'
agree. I will donate even if they're not from my State. We, the people, must stand for all of America...and if sending money to an out of state conservative will help ouster someone like Chaffee, it's money very well spent.
No, it is a bad idea. The Republican Party as a whole, nation-wide, needs to be sent a message in 2006. Otherwise, it is just the same old crap over and over. Conservatives should sit out 2006 or vote solidly against Republicans. The message is, "we put you in there, we can take you out."
