"I guess it is obvious by now... I have no dignity!"

Well, yes, but you also must not have Bahbah's phone number.

:-) No attacks from me, but I will point out that he is doing exactly what he campaigned on. He campaigned in 2000 on making immigration easier. It is fair not to like it, but it's not right to dump this on Karl Rove (or Turd Blossom, as the President calls him).

He has been open about believing in it personally and while I love the President, I think that he has not realized that until there's a way to prosecute the offenders, this will only make matters worse.

We have tools but they aren't legal. The IRS gets wind of who is wrongfully using someone's information, but by law, cannot share it with immigration.

The President had a history in Texas of reaching across the aisle. He told us what we were getting and some of us didn't hear him.

If you are interested in activism, why not volunteer with the RNC? Patrick Ruffini was a blogger and now is serving in the Communications area for the WH.

PS The individual efforts you cite are what make Americans great. It's not laziness to take care of your family, help with your church, visit a neighbor. It's the genius of American politics. What is lazy is to propose a tax increase to pretend that a problem goes away. When all that happens is that more people become permanent underclasses.

:-) See, no attacks.

LOL! If we lived in a different age, we could send our members of Congress clocks with a message, Time is up!

Except these days, the FBI would think that you were giving a threat.

Plus Senator Ted can't tell time

AMEN!

NOW IS THE TIME!

I thoroughly believe that Newt's little fiasco with his wife lead to embarrassment to support him...

But He had the right things.

we gained power because he put out a plan.. but it was not called Plan for the GOP

it was called CONTRACT TO AMERICA!

It was a promise to US! TO US! TO OUR FAMILIES!

WE NEED TO POUND THIS HOME!

Not to mention that we have seen where the leftist ideas are taking us and what it is doing to our country and our families...

YES! NOW IS THE TIME!

AMEN!

You are very right... no objections here... I don't mean to dump on Rove at all... I love him... her is brilliant... I just would like us to stick to the conservative stuff.... but- as you state... the plan for immigration was very honest and out there on the plate to us all.....

but then- 9/11- some of us are changing our minds on this.. not to mention the drain on social services and the cartel activitiy coming to light....

But you are cery right... thank you!

I love the way you think and express yourself!

You ROCK!

Newt was his own undoing. The 1994 election was a repudiation of the Clinton tax hikes. I liked the Contract with America, but that wasn't what changed the House over IMHO.

Newt was great before he was Speaker. But you can't go far as a Republican using a scorched earth policy. It will bite you. He created his own vulnerability. We all do, but we would like our Speaker of the House to have staying power.

Ronald Reagan was as conservative as they come. He still managed to be polite and gentlemanly in disagreement, while being firm on his ground. This is successful and it's a shame that we don't ask for more of this in the Republican party.
