[history]
Shep Smith was on his 3PM EST segment and talking with Wayne Simmons about paying for news in Iraq. Somehow the talk changed to Murtha and when Simmons said Murtha had bad-mouthed (or words to that effect) our troops, Shep went ballistic.
He said Murtha never made any comments regarding our troops being exhausted, out of supplies and in general the most recent Murtha slams of the war.
It was scary and had Simmons been on the set, I think Smith would have gotten into his face (a very bad career move, as well as bad for the health).

I never even realized he was homosexual. Why would FOX even want him on their channel? I can't imagine that I have been watching him all of this time not even realizing I was listening to a sinful homosexual.Being homosexual sucks d***.

Shepard Smith, like most of the mugs we see on TV news, is not a reporter, journalist or qualified commentator. He is a copy reader. One of Walter Cronkite's first jobs was with UPI--which in those days was just the UP, United Press. Cronkite was a mediocre journalist but he had a good broadcast voice and ended up with CBS radio as a copy reader. Later, with the advent of TV, since Cronkite had a good voice and a distinguished physical appearance he went on CBS TV as a copy reader. Producers, writers and researchers do all the "journalism" in "broadcast journalism"--to me always an oxymoron--and copy readers like Shep Smith, Cronkite and Mike Wallace just worry about their mascara and read copy in front of the camera. Dan Rather believed in fake documents that would not have fooled a summer intern at a weekly paper in the Ozarks. It's because he is an actor who has not put in an honest day's work in his whole career.

Shep was also arrested in Florida during the 2000 election fiasco, when he ran his car into a woman that was standing in a parking space, holding it for her husband.

I'll give you that one..I like Brit also, but again I do not make a habit of watching the "evening news" no matter which channel it's on. It's just old news by the time I watch it. I see things on his show and think...I saw that a couple of days ago on FR. Fox should get some balls and put Michael Savage in an Anchor chair. It would be the best info/comedy you can get.

Is New Orleans under water?
New Orleans is, has, and always will be a dirty town.

Shep sucks. I guess Fox is trying to be another CNN. I'm beginning to agree with your assertion! Shep, Colmes, Geraldo and Greta can hardly move any further left.

My email to Fox News:
Shep, Come on man! Why are you so against our military paying newspapers in Iraq to print truthful stories to get the truth out to the Iraqi people? Are you not getting paid to do the same? Is what you are reporting the truth or somewhat slanted to show your leanings? You've reported and I've decided!
