[history]
Shep Smith was on his 3PM EST segment and talking with Wayne Simmons about paying for news in Iraq. Somehow the talk changed to Murtha and when Simmons said Murtha had bad-mouthed (or words to that effect) our troops, Shep went ballistic.
He said Murtha never made any comments regarding our troops being exhausted, out of supplies and in general the most recent Murtha slams of the war.
It was scary and had Simmons been on the set, I think Smith would have gotten into his face (a very bad career move, as well as bad for the health).

Perhaps Shep forgot to drink his AIDS cocktail this morning.

If you choose to watch the jerk, you have to accept the consequences. When he comes on, I switch the channel. He is such an amateurish buffoon, he's painful to watch/listen to.

It's too bad that Shep has gone so far to the left. Roger Ailes said on C-SPAN the other day that Shep was neutral, and you couldn't tell where he stood. Roger, although he is a little more civil, Shep is to the left of Keith Obermann. It really is a shame. I thought it was an isolated incident when Shep bullied that local reporter in Tallahassee during the 2000 recount, but it wasn't isolated. Shep is from the dark side. He is going more and more left hoping to be picked up with a big contract from the msm. I used to think he had so much potential, but, alas, it turns out Shep worships at the alter of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes.

He called the Swift Boat Vets a bunch of liars, the first day the story broke big time in the MSM. He said something like, I guess any bunch of liars can just say whatever they want now.

Heh, heh - outstanding! But then again, I, uh, voted for a senator (R-SC) who is now widely known as `Tinkerbelle'.

I can't stand Shepherd Smith -- especially his voice. I switch to something else whenever he comes on. And there is some sub for him that imitates his voice and delivery exactly -- very annoying.

Coming from a television news background, I find Shep to be one of the most unprofessional "faux journalists" on the air. His attempts to be clever, snide, and entertaining are reprehensible. Only on "Cable News Entertainment" can he get away with his thespian news reports.

Brits news hour is the best national news going and the roundtable is the finest news analysis segment on TV bar none Amen to that!
