I used to admire this guy for his past service to the nation when he was in uniform.

Now I think it would be wise for Mr. Murtha to keep his mouth closed...because everytime he opens it these days he hurts the United States and damages the morale of the troops. He should be ashamed.

He said the reason Murtha is saying all this is because Murtha may be coming under Congressional investigation on some other issue(s). Murtha is wanting to make it appear that that investigation is retaliation for Murtha's opinion on the war.

If true, Murtha has a personal agenda in dissing the military and the war and the Administration.

Are Navy was fairly broken in 1941 on Dec 8th. This was not a valid reason for a Senator to call for withdrawl of our forces from the pacific theater and to cede Hawaii to the new Enemy. The E word is not used enough in the Iraq/Al Qaeda/Afghanistan contect, IMHO.

Murtha: a modification of tactics. With the Ditch Witch (
Sheehan) it was alligator tears for a son who gave his life for a broken policy. Now it is an old war horse crying because the Army is 'broken'. Both are using the military angle as a silver spike in our military effort.

Just called it. Even though I am not in his district, the guy who answered took my comments, which were the following:
* State the evidence that made you come to this conclusion, or leave. Come to think of it, he should leave anyhow.
* Even it it were true, you are hurting our effort and our troops, and I don't care what he did in the service. He is a traitor now.

Also called my congressman (Cantor - R) and asked what are they (Republicans) going to do about it. We have one party that seems to want the terrorists to win, and another party that tries to get along with them and does nothing about it. Pathetic.
