The more I think about that statement, the more pissed I become. I would love to hear the full quote.
Even the most leftist of the libs in Congress do not/will not say that.
What he is saying is that we have sent our men & women into harm's way to protect a bunch of assholes.
2000 troops have died to protect a bunch of asshioles.
It does not matter whether or not Saddam is gone because he was a madman dictating a bunch of assholes
The broader question is why does Joe have this opinion of the Iraqis? Who in Iraq is not good news for Joe?
The article states:
He referred to the Iraqis as "assholes," and Saddam Hussein as a "madman."
He added he received support for this view from former President George H.W. Bush and former National Security Adviser Brent Scowcroft.
Is this a poorly written article in terms of construction or did Joe actually imply George HW Bush shared the asshole opinion?
Normally I would say a poorly constructed article, but knowing Joe Wilson's sleaze factor, I would not put anything past him.
Regardless, the statement He referred to the Iraqis as "assholes," needs alot of exposure and we would be doing well to bring that quote to the attention of many who can expand on it.
"how he had gone from being a relatively anonymous state department official to "Valerie Plame's husband," sparing few from potent verbal attacks along the way."
If Valerie Plame wasn't outed, he would still be a relatively anonymous RETIRED department official. So it seems to me that her outing was certainly beneficial to Joe Plame.
It's poorly written because it was some twit from Brown who wrote it.
Joe Wilson isn't intelligent enough to be Maxwell Smart.
And yet he makes himself the spokesman for "peace". It is scary that he is not aware that he is an advocate for slavery.
Have you ever seen a Liberal who is happy about anything??
No one has authoritatively proven that she was covert.
Joe Wilsons "proof" is that he drank tea with some Niger officials for a few days and came back saying that "it probably didn't happen".
The officials probably told ole Joe that any sale of yellowcake to Iraq would violate UN sanctions.
That was good enough for ole Joe.
Could he have talked to the French, the French mining companies or anyone else involved in the actual production of yellowcake?
Our "allies", the French, are the only ones who know whether Saddam tried to acquire yellowcake from Niger.
And who said it was Niger?
The Brits said "Africa".
LOL LOL LOL! Very good point!
amb-ASS-ador......
LOL! Reminds me of the old Odd Couple episode when Felix is in court doing the old Assume joke. ASS-U-ME
Yes, he's a class act. Why on earth would an American intelligence agency, when the Vice-President asked for information in a matter as serious as this, send an boy to do a man's job- or send in the clowns?
I cannot figure out why I even read stories about this a**hat Joe Wilson. Every time I do I feel the need to take a shower, gargle, and puke at the same time. That he was ever an ambassador is amazing to me, and that he continues to spew forth his bile and his lies, makes me angry. He is the worst this country has to offer the world, and he continues to bring shame on all of us. I want to tell him to STFU, and to go back to the rathole he came from.
Bob Novak very well may be those things. And Joe Wilson is still a liar and a blowhard.
He probably owns stock in the French mining companies.
Former ambassador to Iraq?? That was a one day stint and he was the "acting" ambassador. The real ambassador was out of town.
