The reaction will necessarily happen sooner than you think. The Muslims are mostly on welfare. The tax-paying middle-class is shrinking. Very soon now (I'd give it 5 years, max) the welfare state will implode.
You think Paris was burning a month ago? Wait til the day the welfare checks don't come
Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez gets it. 60 years late but he gets it. Europe now has the problem it asked for.
Thank you, I am amazed to find this is recent, just sounds so foreign to Spain of all places.
Very impressive.
You've got to be pretty damned stupid to buy a used car with that much history. Yet Europe did.
I thought the article was brilliant in its observation ... but your observation is more stunning, depressing, and as brilliant as it gets. I grieve for the Europe left to the pompous jackasses whose shriveled souls are gratified by giving away their patrimony to savages.
My God, this is powerful stuff. Continental suicide, writ large over but a very few decades.
Very interesting perspective, and a lot of truth in it.
It has always seemed to me that the major contributing factor in Europe's decay was their repudiation of their Christian heritage. The French revolution was very different from the American revolution, and most of the rest of Europe has followed France down that path of secularization.
Europeans and other modernists simply don't understand religion any more, because they have little or none of their own. So they can hardly distinguish between a Catholic, a Protestant, a Jew, or a Muslim. Just four different kinds of religious belief, all false and foolish of course, and not much to choose between them, as far as they are concerned.
Big mistake. Religions are different.
There are other parallels. (All of the following is politically incorrect.) The so-called 'Jewish problem' a century ago was of the unassimilated millions in Eastern Europe exporting to the West bombers, fanatics, Communists. Rosa Luxemburg anyone? The West then found a "solution" that it tacitly approved, let's face it (because it didn't intervene, and now it throws the smoke screen blaming the Poles and the Ukrainians.). Today, the problem is unassimilated millions in the West producing bombers, fanatics, if not Communists (and no artists, no thinkers, no leaders, this time.) Will the East now come to the rescue? Scary thought, ain't it?
No.
Another reason why our foreign policy strategies should be tilted toward Asia...China, Japan, Korea. Europe is a lost cause for the 21st century, and more likely will contain the first radical islamic govt with nukes...probably France.
Powerful stuff, and where else could an average Joe find articles like this except on FR?
Thank you.

Two related articles I didn't post.
Thanks for the post. The articles I linked in post 53 might be of interest.
Good post.
The anarchists and communists of a century ago were highly assimilated. Old-fashioned Orthodox Jews of the shtetl were not anarchists and communists.
Poor trade I say.
Of course they were (assimilated.) We're talking of perceptions at the time (right or wrong) of the source of the problem.
These are the earliest spanish-language dated versions I've found:
http://www.elreloj.com/plog/index.php?op=Default&Date=200411&blogId=1
http://foros.abc.es/cgi-local/forosabc/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=000190
http://www.gentiuno.com/articulo.asp?articulo=1865
The last one I feel could possibly be the original even though it's dated the Nov 21, 2004.
It has the extra saying at the top about the truth not being married to anyone.
Also, I notice its copy of the "Que error que hemos cometido" line correctly has the opening exclamation mark unlike the versions in the other 2 links.
The spanish versions I've seen so far spell the author's name as Vivar rather than Villar.
Well, I know this doesn't really shed a lot of light on the mystery of this article. It's still not clear who the author really is, whether a real newspaper is involved or not, what kind of website gentiuno is..
Fukuyama argued, quite persuasively, I might say, that these Islamist radicals are actually produced in the West! Ouch!
