"holiday tree" indeed.
Glad to see this, but some of those who supposedly mention Christmas in ads must be hiding it well. I have looked and haven't seen it. Thanks!
A grassroots effort should be engaged not simply to sign petitions, but to tell store managers that for the Christmas season, if they find Christmas offensive, we simply won't shop there.
This would cover the period of the day after Thanksgiving til Dec. 31st.
If only 10% of Christians/traditionalists would employ this tactic, next year this would not be an issue.
thanks, I will.
I'm sure you're right; and we will see what happens next year. I have no doubt there is going to be an effect from this.
Very, very interesting. Gives me new appreciation to Penney's, Macy's and Dillard's. Shame on Wal-Mart. Those Waltons oughtta know better. I wonder how much they personally tithe to their own churches and so on considering how much they have.
heard a Nissan commercial tonight with the jingle "Have a holly jolly *holiday*"
The re-education of traditional America continues.
Farm King is MUCH BETTER!!!
Of what concern should it be to you how much anyone tithe's to their church?
I never even heard of Farm King! Boy, that must really be a drive to get to.
I think a law should be passed that only those who profess Christ as their Savior can be given time of work.
If these people don't believe in Christ why should they be allowed time off to celebrate His birth
Very good idea. NO CHRISTMAS NO CHRISTMAS MONEY. Let's roll.
Very good idea. NO CHRISRMAS NO CHRISTMAS MONEY. Let's roll.
Because it shows where the heart is - they are rich beyond most people's wildest dreams and now their stores are using the term "holiday trees" so it just made me wonder where they are spiritually. I believe their father was a Christian man and I know Sams Clubs and Wal-Marts have for years carried a lot of Christian-themed books and so on, way more so than most other stores. Just makes me wonder.
Geez - you sound like you're taking it personal or something?
I'm sure you got other responses. There is no way this would work, as follows:
1. People often profess belief but don't really believe (which is why only God knows).
2. People would do it just for the day off.
3. It's a national holiday already which means you get it off, period. Just like if I hate America, I still get the 4th of July off, or if I think Thanksgiving is DUMB, I still get it off.
By the way, I don't think Thanksgiving is dumb and I love our country.
Way to go! What was your approach to Lowe's?
I wonder what the Christmas Store is using for a greeting this year.
