My point being, is that none of us are worthy of declaring death by a court decree. None. No matter what the circumstance. In mortal combat, yes. By civil decree, no. I believe Christ's manner of death was clear and obvious on that fact. Now, do I seek vengence upon the fallen- you should bet I do. My enemies are many and relentless, as are my children & friends.
I would accept your argument if the victims could have "life" without parole also. Where is your concern for them and their families?
Please re-read the scenario. I did not experience such an event. I was wanting some clarity about your death penalty position. You are against the death penalty. But in the scenario, would you kill the perp before he committed a murder, but would not have him executed after the murder? That is what has never been able to be explained to me by those against the death penalty.
Let him out an move him into a home next to as many Hollywood stars as possible and a second home on Hillary's lot in DC.
That is a damn good question. I won't pretend to answer for any victims, any where or at anytime. You hit my gut, and it was a clean shot. So, I will say that I have a deep personal commitment to the victims of child abuse, torture, murder and crimes against any known human sense of dignity. You have rightfully have questioned my compassion and I find myself in the ackward position of not being able to reveal my life to you on-line. I am a direct advocate for victims of heinous crimes. That's the best I can offer, FRiend. Great question though- you have been the only one to ask for that reasoning. Your heart is well placed.

Situational ethics are a dim substitute for reality. My resolved opinion is exactly as stated in prior posts. I cannot offer you a logical, rational or mathmatical equation, whereby you can determine a well reasoned outcome. Life just ain't that way. Do what you think is right, no matter what. I am not trying to get you or anyone else to wear my boots. No matter how much we agree or disagree- the one common thread is life. Just do your best- even when others don't or can't.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the President issued a PD to all Federal prison Wardens to put to immediate death all those murderers that have exhausted all appeals, and have been in prison 10 years or more, with a guaranteed pardon to anyone involved in the process, upon confirmation of expirations. Can you imagined the financial savings? No more poorly written children's books.

Sorry I didn't get back to ya sooner. Your response was lost in the two ping lists I recieve. Yes, Tookie and his ilk should remain outside of personal contact by solitary confinment. Yet, Death rows do not adhere to that policy, and amazingly- natural life sentenced convicts have to, in hi-priori prisons. The most hateful moment in a killer's life is when he/she is sent to DOWNTOWN. These twisted bastards hate being fully secured- by NO HOPE of release. Death becomes that relief. Most folks have no idea about prison living. There has never been one perp, who has not relished the idea of state sanctioned death, over the long term bland- no contact and die in jail sentence. Prolonged locked down existence is truly a punishment. After two years, most victim's families I have met, prefer the natural life term by rigid standards of sentence. That bastard Tookie had to of fasted for two weeks prior to the needles- just so he could say "FUCK YOU," by his slack, no poppin'up left arm veins. Sentence these bastards to Natural Life- No Parole. You do the short part of Eternity here MF. G-d will give you the rest of nothing, when He feels like it.
