Douglas, what do you think Arnold is going to do? Didn't he deny clemency to a couple of killers just after he took office? I think there's a fairly good chance that he will deny clemency in this case and let the execution proceed.

Did you see the segment on Fox (hanity) tonight were the Liberals are starting to drum up the idea of race riots if Tookies sentence is carried out? Why is it the (white) leftist entertainment media is out there suggesting this? And why are they not being arrested for it?
Arnold has let many more off the hook than did Gray Davis. In this case, if he allows Tookie to live, his political career dies. I think Tookie dies. There is still an unknown element, however. Will a federal judge somewhere jump into this and stop it? On what basis it could be done, I don't know, but liberal judges have done many things they should be allowed to do.
Why should the taxpayers - including the families of his victims - pay to keep the POS fed, clothed and housed?
An NYPD officer was just killed by a punk who also shot and wounded an off duty officer about a week ago. The guy has been in trouble before, too much as a matter of fact. Take no mercy on these sacks of trash. Let them all write childrens books so they have something to read on the way to hell. Those celebs, in my opinion are huge and I mean HUGE piles of **** who offer NOTHING to society. Let 'Tookie' live with Mike Farrell or Jamie Foxx or see if they would even consider that notion rather than Tookie getting the spike. F em all.
I would presume that, if necessary to save your child, you would kill someone who broke into your house and was holding a knife to your child's throat. In that case, you would have killed him before he did any physical harm. But if he did murder your child, you would not want the death penalty. Help me understand that. So, he dies if he doesn't murder, but he lives if he sucessfully murders. No one has been able to convince me how that makes any sense.

Where do you draw that immutable line? I am sure you have heard the following before- it costs millions to kill these bastards. To house them for natural life, costs $150,000 to $200,000. That's the reality answer to your query- although that only answers part of your real question.

The truly unbelievable high costs for Death Row inmates are towards the legal machine involved with appeals, etc. Now, housing a natural lifer in Cal DOC can be adjusted & projected to any figure that suits the DOC's books. This is a real problem in this State- there is no real oversight on the CO's union. The State Workers via Dems are killing us, currently, and for the forsaken future.
