Liberals are mad because they once had status for thinking the right thoughts. Being part of the  intelligentsia was no harder than repeating brain-dead mantras. It didn't require work, or thought, it was an instant, if unearned superiority.

And then the conservatives came with new ideas - and the old "attitude" the "superiority" felt shrill. And the rage started. A betrayal.

Standing at a party with shop worn ideas, ideas easily debunked, and feeling the rage... Just repeat the mantra. And laughter. Derisive laughter. The rage burns brighter. Conservatives are laughing at the mantra. Liberal ideas failed. And there are no new ones. And the laughter continues.

Stripped of the last illusions of superiority the final rage clicks in and we have a red faced Gore, a "lost" Imas, an enraged Janeane Garofalo, a lying Mapes, a shamed Dan Rather, and a MSM that wonders where the respect went....

I can take a tiny bit of credit for Ms. Malkin's column today.

I was the one who tipped her off about the rant in Democratic Underground last week. She immediately placed the link on her blog, and now has used it in her column.

As soon as I saw the rant, I thought Malkin might be interested. It ws the wackiest thing I'd ever read on DU, and that's saying a lot. Here's the original:
