Parasailing boy dies after crashing into mosque

The parents of a 10-year-old British boy who was killed while parasailing in Dubai yesterday described how their son had happily waved to them moments before a freak gust blew him into the minaret of a mosque.
Tony Loyden, the couple's only child, died after the rope attaching him to a speedboat snapped and he crashed into the building.
His parents, Tony and Patsy, were on the boat as the parachute became detached and their son drifted inland. The weather had initially been calm when the family began the trip at 9.15am.

Saw something like this in Thailand some years ago. My girlfriend and I went back to our hotel room cause a big storm blew up. While we were looking out the window at the trees tossing around, we saw a guy hanging from a parasail go flying by into the jungle. Never did find out if he survived or not.

Just another example of how mosques are dangerous. They should all be torn down...this boy would be alive today if they had been.

I do this religiously in the summer. Two things wrong right of the bat. First, if the kid does not weigh more than 125, he ain't going up. The second, there should be NOTHING in the area that can snag, or intrude on any path the kite can go if the rope indeed breaks. I blame the operator of the ski craft for this homicide.

This a very sad story. . .and my heart aches for this family - now, two - but honestly. . .a ten-year old, para-sailing. . .good-grief; why. . .

That's really just sad.
Don't do crazy stunts in third world nations. There's no regulation or safety standards.
And especially don't let your kids do crazy stunts in third world nations.
