Injured Congressman: SOLDIERS SAY 'DON'T PULL OUT!'

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy said wounded soldiers have told him the U.S. should remain in Iraq.

The Pennsylvania Republican was one of two members of Congress treated at a military hospital after a weekend accident in Iraq.

Sporting a small bandage on a cut above his right eye, Murphy told reporters on Capitol Hill that every soldier he talked to said, "Don't pull out. Do not make it so those who have been wounded and those who have died have done so in vain."

Murphy said the accident occurred as he was traveling on a back road to the Baghdad airport Saturday night with Democrats Ike Skelton of Missouri and Jim Marshall of Georgia. An oncoming vehicle sideswiped their small armored bus.

Murphy said he's still experiencing soreness in his neck, arms and back.

Skelton, the other injured lawmaker, is said to be doing well.

The socialist dems will not listen to the troops. They had rather listen to Cindy and Fats Moore. "They" are the dems type of people. "They" are more likely to vote for dems than military people are. So, the dems don't care. The dems hate the military.

"The socialist dems will not listen to the troops"

That's because "they" know what's better for the troops.

Do you remember the Congressman that led the minority side of the debate on the impeachment of Bill Clinton? It was Ike Skeleton.

They hate more than the military, they hate America! There is no other possible explanation for their constant, relentless attacks on EVERYTHING that has made her great. They attempt to rewrite history, they attempt to ban religion, they attempt to change our economic system. The American left is nothing but a bunch of DAMN TRAITORS!

Don't forget, the Democrats opnion of US soldiers is very low. They have consistently touted the bogus fact that our soldiers are pigeon stools of our government recruited from the depravity of our society and forced into action because of their minority status and lack of education. And of course, this is all Bush's fault for exploiting these men and women.

It does not surprise me to find out that the Democrats that talk to the soldiers (like Hillary Clinton) dismiss their thoughts, beliefs, convictions and feelings by saying, "They just don't know any better. They have obviously been brain washed."

The greatest irony in all this is that the dems can't seem to figure out why 75% of the country agrees that the democrats are WEAK ON DEFENSE.

I remember Tim Murphy from college as a guitar-playing folk singing Psych major and am glad to see he grew up to be a Republican. Of course, I was crazy off the charts at the time so I don't mean that as a criticism. I guess once you get out from under the influence of the Jesuits, it's possible to recover. Good for him.

Well said. The problem (one of many) with Democrats is that they view Defense as just another issue to be spun in some way.

Leopards don't change their spots. Neither do liberals. They have to hide it, or else they could never be elected in America. Witness the vote leading up the military action in Iraq.

It was almost comical to see the Dr. Strangelovian behavior when many liberals were FORCED to vote for the war against their true beliefs so they could win re-election!

I still chuckle to myself at their schizophrenic behavior, kind of like the computer that can answer any question being asked "Can God make a rock so big he cannot lift it?"

Their whole party is built on lies, and they do their best to hide their real politics from the rest of the country.

To paraphrase Richard Nixon's assessment of Alger Hiss: "If Americans understood the true nature of Liberals, they would boil them in oil."

I served in the U.S.Infantry under three different Presidents.Nixon,Ford,Carter.No matter what Nixon did,he would have been the one I would much rather have had as a Commander in Chief.I chose to leave the service(had planned to make it a career),than to serve under Carter. Many other fellow service people felt the same. The first time in my life I ever voted was for Ronald Reagen.I didn't know much about politics back then, but I figured ANY one was better than him.History proved me correct!

Boy, ain't that the truth. I was in the USN 1975-1979, and it was pretty grim for the military then.
