Twenty years of taxpayer-supported life before justice was finally served. Pathetic.

This guy should have been hung years ago:
"Realizing Green could identify him as the last person at the apartment, he returned and attempted to suffocate the 5-year-old with a pillow then strangle her with his hands. She struggled, and Hicks covered her mouth and nose with duct tape. He received the death penalty for the girls murder."
Same thing for "Tookie".

Precisely, he should have been put up against a wall 20 years ago
Oh but the lawyers wouldn't have been happy about that.

He should have died the same way as the little girl. Duct taped and slowly suffocated..............

If he lived in St. Louis, he could cast two or three votes in 08...
To: ncountylee
Mr Hicks, you case was rejected by the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court, so you and your case have been refered up to a Higher Court.

This guy confessed and it still took 20 years to execute him.

Whatever happened to justice delayed is justice denied? There's just something not right about taking 20 years to see justice done for the murder of a 5-year old child.

I am not questioning the appropriateness of the punishment. It is just that he is the only one who was executed expeditiously. Imagine what we might have learned had the FBI really had a chance to investigate the details behind him.

...we weren't able to determine who bankrolled him. Oh, I think we all know who bankrolled him. Give Jayna Davis a call for more info.
IIRC, didn't hundreds of pages of the FBI report disappear???

WOW! Did not hear a thing about it. No candlelight vigils outside the prison? No rousing choruses of We Shall Overcome? I guess all the anti-death penalty fools must be too busy with the Tookie case lately

WOW! I never thought of it that way. Is there ANY downside to the death penalty? Sure does not seem so.

Well, you must admit McVeigh deserved it for being the instrumental cause of the death of nearly 200 Americans. He could have walked away and said "no." He didn't. Even if he did it (and I'm not totally convinced of that) it's senseless to kill the main witness before the entire matter is investigated totally. Likewise the building was destroyed before all the evidence could be gathered. The whole thing was fishy and I'm more than suspicious that clinton was in it up to his eyeballs (may justice be done on him)

No kidding. DU is shedding tears over another guy who killed someone in a pool hall. They didn't see this one coming. I wonder what his DU screen name was?

This filth premeditated and carried out the strangulation of a 5 year old little girl whom he was honorbound to protect.
He should never have lived to see the inside of a courtroom.
