$250 seems a little light for 33 mph over the limit. Maybe I don't get stopped often enough to know however.

Yeah, his right foot was probably weighed down on the gas pedal by a ton of stolen classified documents up his pant's leg.

he is on two years' probation for smuggling classified documents out of the National Archives last year.
Who else is shocked that they actually included this in the story, and used the word "smuggling"?

Meanwhile Cunningham goes to jail. Simply amazing. Sen Dorgan D-ND is caught dead to rights in the same corrupt they accused Delay of yet De Lay is on trial and the Dinosaurs are making excuses for Dorgan. Sick. Republicans apparently have forgotten how to win. Any Time a Democrat says "culture of corruption" They should be met with howls of laughter for their Culture of Hypocrisy.

The misdemeanor reckless driving charge carried a maximum penalty of 12 months in jail and a $2,500 fine. That is harsh, but given that Burglar is on probation it would have been more appropriate than another slap on the wrist. 100 hours of "community service"? Oh yeah, he'll go lecture for free at Georgetown University.

Berger was required to report the ticket to the probation office of U.S. District Court because he is on two years' probation for smuggling classified documents out of the National Archives last year. He seems to be working to self-destruct. I wonder what he'll do next.

In addition to probation in that case, Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson fined Berger $50,000 and sentenced him to 100 hours of community service. She later admonished Berger for violating probation by getting ticketed for reckless driving, but did not punish him further. Talk is cheap
