Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Ready or not, the holiday season is upon us again! This past weekend began the busiest time of the year for most of us - from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. About this time three years ago - our first Christmas at the Finest - we asked for help from our readers in guest-writing a holiday thread, and your response warmed our hearts; you were such a big help to us, and got us through a very busy time with fun, interesting, and unique holiday threads. We appreciate you and couldn't do it without your support!

I didn't look at the recipes for the wassail either. I just use Apple Cider and mulling spices. But it always smells so good!!

I always use the COPY LINK LOCATION function. If I keyed all in, NONE of the urls would be correct. ADDH folks are superior at transposing! It is a lovely thread & glad to see it again. Fun to see Daisy & Free's posts...they are a bit like me w/bold colors & contrasts.

One often wonders if many (ANY?) one really reads the material we present. I tend to get too wordy most often & that is not good. I need to learn how to eliminate more I think. Your posts are always sleek & just right in content & graphics. (I'm learning)

You've got your Christmas decorations and ornaments all out - I plan to do that this week, too. I'd rather decorate the house and trees than UNdecorate them!

Victoria......there should be a daily prize for the best graphic posted. Problem is you would always win it. You come up with the nicest things (I know you say you just google etc).. my googling is not as "effective" as yours somehow. I am crashing soon.. been up a long time & have had a busy day.. I recall my years of teaching.. papers, lesson plans etc. glad that is behind me! \
