Hunters are the latest targets of the animal rights extremists and may become victims of homicide. It seems terrorist organizations like the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) and Win Animal Rights (WAR) have become so radical that now they believe it is alright to kill humans to protect animals. Right now they are headed to New Jersey to stop a bear hunt by any means they can.
I just read a report by Cam Edwards on the 21st where ALF went to the home of Lloyd Harbor, New York mayor Leland Hairr and painted anti-hunting slogans on his home and his car in the garage because he had asked the state for a special season to help with a problem of too many deer in the area of his city.
Well the state of New York had already backed down, but not because of this act, they had already stopped because of pressure from the Catholic seminary in that city. So this criminal act never needed to happen in the first place. The police need to bring those responsible for this to justice as quick as possible.
There is a common thread between ALF and WAR, however they deny any connection. The North American Animal Liberation Press Office (NAALPO) has as one of their national press officers Camille Hankins who is the founder of WAR. They also have a Dr. Jerry Vlasak a trauma surgeon in Los Angeles, California as a press officer and he is a member of ALF. In an interview on 60 Minutes Vlasak has said, I think for five lives, ten lives, 15 human lives, we could save a million, two million, ten million nonhuman lives. He told CBS, I think people who torture innocent beings should be stopped. And if they wont stop when you ask them nicely, they wont stop when you demonstrate to them what theyre doing is wrong, then they should be stopped using whatever means necessary. What does this mean to you?
They have become terrorists and their target is hunters and others. I think they mean to do whatever it takes including breaking the law and using homicide to stop hunting of animals. Every hunter who goes into the field should be ready and willing to do what it takes to protect themselves. This means you may need to leave someone in camp now to protect it. You will not only have to watch for game now you will have to distrust and watch anyone else in the wood with you. Can you see how this is going to affect our national pastime and heritage? What is this world coming too? We may soon know if they are willing to take a human life to protect a bear.
To date no one in government is speaking out against these organizations. Are they afraid of them or what? Right now these groups have destroyed over 100 million dollars worth of property and they are becoming more violent. They have declared war on us so when will our government and law enforcement do something about it? Its time to start fighting back. Perhaps the ALF and WAR people will wake up to find someone painted their homes and vehicles. Do we need a group to fight them on their own terms? Will the government do anything to that group? I think they would.
What this means is that you and I will have to be very careful in the future and around our own homes. Will I become a target because I write about this? Well I can tell you I am already on their list for not only writing about them but because I have fought against them politically on many occasions. I will tell them the same thing I told criminals who made threats against me and my family, Come on down and make your first shot count, because the second one is mine and I dont miss.
This is not the America we asked for and it sure isnt what many of us fought the wars for, but it is reality in this day and age. Its time to get active and stop this kind of activity before it goes to a shooting war. Call our political leaders and let them know how you feel. In short get involved before it is to late, the time to act is now.
God Bless America and God bless our troops still in harms way.
Yeah, the sentence structure and punctuation sucks. English was my worst subject too.
They are leftys, but also they are terrorists that burn down labs, use explosives, and other violent means. Rossie Odenell (lefty) said that anyone that owns a gun should be thrown in jail for life, but she has all her bodyguards own and carry guns. Leftys are hippo-crits.
ah geez, teach,I can't catch a break?....can I get exter credit fer catching the squrls sign up date? ;-)
To me, this means Vlasak should be arrested for inciting deadly violence against lawful hunters. This kind of rhetoric used to be illegal. What happened?
Amazing, isn't it? Many still believe that the black bear is just a big, friendly dog. That kind of thinking can get one killed.
If it comes down to an ALFie or WARrior shooting at an experienced hunter, and that hunter is forced to defend himself, I think I know who will win the fight.
Mix it with 10% pork fat and make a big ol pot of chili, works every time.
Good choice ... Benelli rocks! Best smoothbores on the market.
Heh. With the small (80-90lb.) wild pigs we have around here, that would almost blow them clean in half.
Statistics don't mean much when they happen to you.
I've eaten bear too. It was the best darn stew I've ever made.
>>>>It's just a matter of time before these animal rights terrorists end up killing a human.
I was given an extremely direct impression that happened from an animals rights board I was reading that was based in Europe last year.
More than once too.
You don't have to tell me. When I was in college, I went squirrel hunting on the game lands in Western NC after classes one day. I had my trusty Remington .22 rifle, but nothing else with me. As I was sitting on top of a ridge, I looked across to the other ridge, about 100 yards away and spotted 2 bear cubs. I didn't see mama bear, but knew she would be there soon, so I decided the day was done for me. I made my way back down the hill & went home. No need to take any chances with a mama and her cubs.
Now, the most scared I have ever been was deer hunting once right around dusk. I was about 10 minutes from getting out of the stand because it was so dark, when I heard a bobcat. I had seen scraped on some trees in the area, so I knew one was around, but I had never heard or seen it until then. It was so dark I could barely see 10 feet away and there was a fog rolling in. The cat was between me and my truck, so I was more than a little nervous walking out that day. Fortunately, we never met!
As for the animal loonies, I heard of these idiots dressing up in brown sweats and hitting the woods during hunting season many years ago, but after a few got shot at, I never heard of them doing it again. I wouldn't put it past these ALF idiots to pose as hunters, getting licenses and everything, and hitting the woods to take shots at hunters. I imagine there will be a day when we will see it happen. All I know is he better be a good shot, 'cause if he misses me and I see where he is at, he won't take a shot at anyone else.
Thanks for the recipes. Makes me wanna hunt with the Nuge, LOL, http://www.tednugent.com/ranch/ted_hunts_2.shtml

Animal rights terrorists threaten our safety
Animal rights terrorists have won a battle in New York, and all it took was a few gallons of paint and a little trespassing. On the evening of November 15th, according to a press release from the Animal Liberation Front, these thugs went to the home of Lloyd Harbor mayor Leland Hairr. They painted anti-hunting slogans across the home, gained access to the garage (the Animal Liberation Front says the garage door was open), and painted more anti-hunting slogans on both cars. (snip>
ALF did make the domestic terrorist list.
IIRC ALF and WAR have already been officially designated as terrorist organizations.
But I just have to laugh at stuff like this. I have had several encounters in the deep woods with the antihunting granola cruching crowd. Yeah they were real snarly and angry over the rights of that poor Bambi (well Elk) I was about to shoot in cold blood. But they were soft tenderfoot types from Seattle. I mean like real sheep. My buddy and I (being active duty Infantry Lieutenants) led them on a harrowing trek thru the nastiest, most evil terrain we could find. Every time they fell back, we'd take a break so they could catch up. By the time it got dark, we knew exactly where the cars were, and how far ('bout 10 clicks) but they were hopelessly lost. We'd checked out a set of NVG's from our Company Arms Rooms. So we decided to postpone the hunt and keep the lost babes company, instead.
They huddled together for warmth all night and literally CRIED. We kept chunking rocks at them and they thought it was BIGFOOT! ROFLMAO. Tell me what sort of idiot wanders into the woods without so much as a compass or sleeping bag or weapon? Liberal granola crunchers, that's who. Sunrise couldn't come soon enough. When they saw us just 20 feet from them, they really started to cry. We led them right back to their vehicles. The closer they came to the car, the braver they got. We reminded them that there were Elk in the area waiting for our tags...and they would be welcome to join us the very next day...but this time, we were going to bring back our troops and make it a little exercise. Maybe one in which the object would be to secure and interrogate enemy prisoners. They cried all the way out of the parking lot....and we never saw that particular group of folks again, lucky for them.
The troops really did want to go out and run the hippies all over. We even had offers of chopper support from the aviation battalion, but our collective CO's nixed the plan. Said it was poor "community relations." ~SIGH~ But...we had fun and still got our Elk. Had a company barbeque at the barracks. I don't think I've ever had better tasting meat. This was 1982.
