The reporter for Time magazine who recently agreed to testify in the CIA leak case is central to White House senior adviser Karl Rove's effort to fend off an indictment in the two-year-old investigation, according to two people familiar with the situation. Viveca Novak, who has written intermittently about the leak case for Time, has been asked to provide sworn testimony to Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald in the next few weeks after Rove attorney Robert Luskin told Fitzgerald about a conversation he had with her, the two sources said.

How long does this go on?. I thought Fitzpatrick had used upo his time. Why are we still spending money on this Bull Shiite?.
"Viveca Novak"
So, is she related to Robert Novak and does that mean she is not likely to be a left wing loonie?
This sounds like a good thing.
No they are not related, she works at Time, that should tell you she is leftist.
" No they are not related, she works at Time, that should tell you she is leftist."
Robert Novak also works for Time Warner and while he can rightly be called many things, leftist is not among them. Thanks for the info about them not being related... what are the odds of two unrelated reporters named Novak being involved in the same story?
Fitzy now realizes fame and fortune is not his until he gets Rove's head on a pike.
It does appear that way. I sure do wish Fitzy would end this charade; identify the leaker to Woodward and get on with it. But, I guess he wants to make sure his grand jury is employed through the holiday season.
Fitzgerald seems to be inept. The CIA is either out of control to the left or inept. Maybe the inept dunce investigator will stumble onto the alledged CIA plot. He needs to get pass the "Get Bush and his boys" attitude. Maybe we need a special counsel to investigate the CIA and one to investigate Fitzgerald.

So, once again, Fitz is contacted by an administration offical (or lawyer for). I'm LOL. It makes Fitz look like an idiot. Great defense strategy, keep givng Fitz rope and watch him put the noose around his head.
One of the big things which made me raise my eyebrows was that Cooper called Rove on July 11th via the Whitehouse switchboard. Because the call was "Transferred" to Rove's office, it was not in Rove's log.
Something still doesn't jive....Like a friend of Joe's approaching Novak on the street on July 8th....Joe actually talked to NOVAK about that on the 10th before Novak's July 14th article.
My best guess is that Joe told the Dem party about the call to Novak....and the Dems sent Cooper on a mission....to "involve" Rove (First) and then Libby via "very clever" phone calls.
Libby and Rove did not lie when they said that they were not involved in spreading this.
Interesting that Novak disputes the testimony of the CIA (Harlow) in a 2005 article.
Why the hell would Rove and Libby pass on info to a Dem Operative like Cooper, Mandy's hubbie? It doesn't make any sense at all.
That surely is the question of the day. . .
The evidence so far does nothing but beg for this to be put to bed if not to sleep.
I don't get. . .not at all; how we can jeopardize careers. . .a Presidency. . .to investigate a 'leak' that we KNOW was not a 'leak'; about an agent - who was no longer working as 'an agent'. . .and who had not 'covert' status for years. . .and whose job AT CIA, was essentially known for several years amongst their friends; acquaintances. . .and others. . .known and not known.
We do know milliions of dollars are being spent on a 'leak' that is not a leak at all. . .
The next question is, of course. . .'what will it take to stop this political train which is totally out of control. . .'
Is there a Demrat holding some member of Fitzgerald's family hostage?
Maybe she was the initial source.
Novak is the most common Czech surname.
As long as Fitz can extend his 15 minutes of fame, he will. Doesn't matter how much taxpayer money is being spent.
