DNC Press Release: Bush Crosses the Line on Border Security; [Must Read - Scary]
U.S. Newswire ^ | 11/28/2005

Posted on 11/28/2005 3:05:43 PM PST by ncountylee

WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement on President Bushs campaign-style event today in Tucson and his failed policies on immigration:

"President Bush's campaign-style event today in Tucson comes after five years of failed leadership that has weakened America's border security, and allowed the extremist anti-immigrant wing of the Republican Party to dominate the critical debate on immigration reform.

"To keep America safe, Democrats know we must have secure borders and an orderly flow of immigration, but scapegoating immigrants, as the Republican Party has done for political gain, is simply wrong. Voters resoundingly rejected the politics of polarization and Karl Rove's divisive tactics only a few weeks ago in elections all across the country. The message was clear: together, America can do better.

"President Bush's recent pronouncement that his ultimate goal was to expel every single undocumented immigrant from the country is not just a surrender to the far right, it's an irresponsible policy that does little to make America safer. Democrats are committed to comprehensive immigration reform that protects our borders, and provides cities and states the resources to keep our communities safe. A realistic approach must also protect American workers and their wages, while offering immigrants who have earned it the opportunities and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship. Democrats will never abdicate the responsibility for a real immigration policy and its enforcement to vigilantes, or exploit people's fears for political gain. We demand the same of the President and the Republican Party."

Pelosi was saying nothing. She is for illegals. She was saying it without saying it. She basically was saying nothing but her words were pointing too we need real bipartisan reform. Meaning lets help out the minority illegals.

"...what...an illegal must do......to earn citizenship...?"

Its all spelled out in the McCain-Kennedy Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act of 2005.

Ever hear of it? Ever read it?

I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINAL INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINAL INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.

Never get between a Democrat and political power.

They will betray this country, and do or say anything for POWER.

Ironically, everything they do with the power makes our country weaker ... the socialist dream always has the same end - total control of a country that has become completely irrelevent.

Howard Dean apparently missed the point that the primary spokesman, Enrique Marones, for the "open border" position, had several political buttons visible in his car when interviewed by MSNBC. One button said, "Kerry-Edwards," another said simply "Che."

It is the liberal Democrats, what the not-so-good doctor called "the Democrat wing of the Democrat Party," who also favor open borders for the "poor immigrants" who "just want a better life." Winking at criminal behavior is a long-established Democrat position.

What Bush said in his speech today in Tucson will cause far more internal problems for the Democrats than for the Republicans. But facts and truth have nothing to do with the pronouncements of Howard Dean.

Click below for an indication of how wired in the pro-illegal immigrant leaders are, with the Democrat Party.

With the MSM the dems can win.

The MSM is portraying both parties as the same on spending and immigration.

A flat out lie.

All dems in the house voted against spending cuts.

Almost all dems are pro illegals.

It doesn't help that you have minutemen constantly saying their is no difference.

Their is an ocean of difference between the majority of gop in the house and the majority of dems.

This country is looking at a Reid/Pelosi/Hillary trio if the MSM is allowed to be as biased as they are.

"There you have it, Amnesty!"

But, but, but, all the wise men at FR say that the Bush Plan is amnesty. What dems are talking about is "earned legalization".

...offal...

Now there's a word you don't see everyday! However, offal at least can be rendered down into some useful components, unlike Howard.

So tell me, is the Bush Plan amnesty or is McCain-Kennedy amnesty?

Bush plan is not amnesty. Bush's plan is to get all the illegals out in the open so we can get their names and then be able to send them back. In Bush's plan you have to go back after 6 years. Their would be a limited amount of workers for the plan too.

The dems want amnesty for all illegals that are here and future illegals. Howard Dean is the white Al Sharpton race baiter.

Howling mad Howard Dean,
too often heard, too often seen,
to forget he's still a flake.
Shut the hell up, Howard,
For goodness sake.

Its all spelled out in the McCain-Kennedy Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act of 2005.

It is not clear that Dean is referring to that act, which is likely insuffiently "open" for the their designs.

Their press release states:

Democrats will continue fighting to extend Section 245(i), provide due process reforms, ensure refugee protection, and provide for earned legalization.

Section 245(i) awards Green Cards. For the Democrats, to "earn" a Green Card means to have a body temperature.

And yes, I have read the McCain-Kennedy bill, at least enough to get my blood boiling.

Wow, no wonder DC was a little warmer than normal - there was a massive hot air release, Dean opened his mouth and spoke.

and allowed the extremist anti-immigrant wing of the Republican Party to dominate the critical debate on immigration

What a laugh. The Democratic party wrote the restrictionist immigration laws in 1924, again in 1952, and only in 1965 did they turn back somewhat with the Hart-Cellar amendment. They did so on the basis of protecting citizens - working class citizens - from wage competition by mass immigration. The Republicans of the times joined them for a variety of reasons, but in large part both parties concurred on the principle.

The only reason the Abortion party changed its tune is simple: the "immigrants" are now principally non-white, so they must never be criticised or curtailed in any way, because that might be construed as being (GASP!) racist. If the illegals were Northern Germans, the Dems would be screaming.

Pelosi is beyond stupid, and her predictable diatribe is notable only for its predictability. What's really funny is that Bush offered nothing new, and nothing of tangible value.
