Isn't it nice that Sen. Specter took time out from backstabbing Republicans to comment on an NFL soap opera?

No wonder they couldn't spend time on Alito hearings - they're so busy with this important stuff...

Arlen Specter says he is looking into the Terrell Owens situation,The same guy who pushed back hearings on the Supreme Court nominee because there "just wasn't time". Great.
To: Sterm26
Yeah, funny he has time to get involved in the NFL, but his schedule is too busy to hold hearings for SCOTUS, for which we pay him. Does the NFL pay him for his advice?

Specter and Owens have a lot in common when it comes to teamwork. Just wish it was just as easy to bench Specter.

This clown doesn't have time for the Brent Kavanaugh judicial nomination, or the re-authorization of the Patriot act...but he has time for this?

FU Arlen. Mind your damn business and keep your stinking rotten government out of private business. Keep your bloated, money sucking government out of personal lives. If Owens were being put in blocks he may have jurisdiction. That jag Owens is being paid and that's all TO is really about. Go away Arlen or just switch parties and be done with it.

Oh, so now it's Spectator, is it?
To: Sterm26
This is surprising, because Specter rarely flies against public opinion, and the public is not with Owens on this, it's with the Eagles.

I think it demonstrates how clueless Specter is, on many levels.

Careful Arlen! Your politics are sometimes puzzling to us, but getting involved in the TO-saga -- to the detriment of the Eagles -- we won't forgive.
Actually, I always vote against Arlen, but I enjoy dissing a Rhino...

So let me get this straight. The Judiciary committe was too busy to take on the Alito nomination before the holidays, but Spectre has time to straighten out things between TO and the Eagles? hmm....?
To: Sterm26
Sorry Senator Spector, TO is under contract. He is being paid by your home town team. They do not feel having him on their active roster is in their best interest.
It may come as a surprise to you as a Senator, THAT IS THEIR DECISION NOT YOURS.

But, but but, isn't it racist to use that terminology when referring to an African American football player?
To: Justanobody
Yeah, funny he has time to get involved in the NFL, but his schedule is too busy to hold hearings for SCOTUS, for which we pay him. Does the NFL pay him for his advice?Every once in a while Sen. Specter takes on a legal client. Perhaps he's trolling for a high-profile case here?

Specter probably thinks Terrell Owens is the U.S. sprinter who won those gold medals at the 1936 Olympic in Berlin, and that the Eagles could face an age discrimination lawsuit for benching him.

Hey Arlen baby, How about concentrating on your duties as the Judiciary Chairman rather than a football team's internal affairs.
Like, maybe, conducting a hearing for the NEXT SUPREME COURT JUSTICE when you find the time! Idiot.
