They say better late than never but......
LOL, most likely true...
Up to the point where I had to walk away from the TV because of Bush's hypocrisy, I heard no apology for calling the Minutemen vigilantes, nor did I hear any commendation for the Minuteman Project's efforts on the border since April.
I doubt he will do anything to prosecute and fine his big business buddies who break the existing law by hiring illegal aliens.
Bush makes a big deal about last month signing authorization for 1,000 more border control agents, but Congress authorized the money for that quite some time ago, and he is just now enacting it.
Or a complete liar, who knows better, but won't speak the truth.
If I'm not mistaken, he said send them home first, then allow them to take care of the guest worker part.
We have to start somewhere.
As am I. Why don't they just say to take jobs at a cheaper wage than our people will work for and allow executives of our corporations to earn their multi-million-dollar yearly bonuses for cost cutting.
Prop 200 passed in Arizona and California (9th circuit) didnt have the GUTS to over rule the voters in another state as they did for you Cali folks.
Ever notice how RIGHT after they denied the suits against Prop 200 how states declared states of emergancy?
We have witnessed our final election where ILLEGAL immigration is not front and center.
The market sets the price. That's an undeniable fact. But when you have government controls or unnatural markets which include illegal or third world cheap labor, the proven system starts to break down. If you pay enough, you'll find someone to do anything.
I'd advise more research before getting up in front of the adults and offering sophomoric advice. Due diligence will assist the discussion. Uneducated opinions simply distract from the discussion and embarrass this forum.
But 95% of the border will be left wide open, to allow millions of more "temporary guest workers" (wink wink) to walk right in.
John Gibson is trying to get a straight answer out of the head of the Border Patrol now on FNC... and not getting good results.
However, we had a dem governor who refuses to inforce prop 200.
I agree better late than never, but those M13 gangs are already here and it is too late for that. It would have been nice to hear this speech right after 9/11.
I know what I'm talking about so you might want to watch it with the insults. Try listening to the entire conversation and not just your narrow little mind.
But how grown up of you to hurl insults.
multi pronged approach is what is needed. Those that claim simply going after employers will work are as ousted as those that claim military on the border is all that is needed. Truth be told both should already be in full swing.
Real ID, holding employers to account, multiple layered fences, guards to man them, denial of any public benefits of any kind ( and yes that even means public water supplies and parks), along with making ANY aid given (like water stations) a prosecutable TREASONOUS offense is where I would start.
If they come here then learn English and fully assimilate into our society... no more ballots printed in multiple languages, no more forcing teachers to teach in Spanish (as in Dallas, TX)... I could go on.
Too many sons of blue collar working families won't do the jobs that their fathers did with honor and pride. It's either too hot or too cold or too dirty or too boring or they're expected to show up for work every day. They're into immediate gratification - a fault of our society.
"Did you hear the stats he read off about the improvements he HAS made during his 5 years???!!! "
They have caught more aliens because more and more of them are trying to come over. The Minutemen have also helped catch a lot of them, but they won't get any credit for it.
You pro invasion types just can't resist hyperbole. First offenders should have no more than a finger chopped off.
